"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon' Tuesday 11th March Workings...
17 years 2 months ago
Afternoon.
This afternoon completed, and went as follows...
The 1st runner we wanted 2.6, and with being around 2.88 on arrival and then dropping down to us a beyond under support, we had a lay at 2.6 max. The lay was nicely beaten by the main danger, so a good result............
The 2nd runner we wanted 3.1, and with being around 3.25 on arrival and then dropping down to us and very slightly beyond, we had a lay at 3.1 max. The lay was a well beaten 3rd, so a good result.....
The 3rd runner we wanted 2.6, and with being a well supported 2.34 on arrival and getting shorter (went odds on!), we had a lay at around 2.34 max. The lay/gamble made layers look idiots, as won very easily, so the way it goes.........
The 4th runner we wanted 2.6, and with being around 2.48 on arrival, we had a lay at around 2.48. The price then drifted out to our own price of 2.9, before tumbling back down again, so a fluctuating market and a chance for traders (builders finished) to have their 'free' lay. The lay/trade was nicely beaten, so a good result.......
The 5th runner we wanted 3.1, but a non runner and 7.7% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.94. The price was around 2.98 on arrival, and then dropped down to us and beyond, so we had a lay at 2.94 max. The lay was nicely beaten, so a good result.........
The 6th runner was withdrawn, so on to the next runner.........
The 7th runner we wanted 1.7, and with being around 1.79 on arrival and then dropping down to us and beyond late on, we had a lay at 1.7 max. The lay went and won, so the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it......
The 8th runner we wanted 3.3, and with getting around 3.05 on arrival and getting shorter, we had a lay at around 3.05 max. The lay was beaten after a battling finish, so a good result.......
The 9th and final runner we wanted 2.8, but a non runner and 16.7% reduction meant we no wanted a lay price of 2.5. There was then another non runner and further 11.1% reduction, so now we wanted a new lay price of 2.33 (2.34 nearest exchange price). The price was a well supported 1.89 on arrival, so we had a lay at around 1.89. The lay went and won, so gamble landed and the way it goes. Only traders playing now, and they did get their 0.3 trade back prices, so got away with it..........
WELL PLAYED..............
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) won 1 target................They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner, and then hit their targets on their 2nd lay (the 2nd runner).................They then started their 2nd strategy/target on the 3rd runner, and after a battle they ended up going to their 5th lay (the 8th runner) where they broke level. So they end the session winning 1 target........
Bank builder strategy/target players had their 1st lay (the 1st runner) at 2.6 max, and a good result see them win a chunk of their targets..........They then had their 2nd lay (the 2nd runner) at 3.1 max, and a good result see them hit their targets........

Traders either won, or broke level on all their trades, so well played guys and speak in the morning.....
So builders made light work of the session with hitting nice and early, and although rollers had to battle on their second strategy/target, they did battle well and walked away with the wages, so well played. Have a good evening and speak in the morning....
Marc.

Morning.
The races, runners, and prices, to work around for this afternoon then, as follows.............
1.40 Sedgefield. SENORA SNOOPY (2.88)
Our price 19/10 (2.9) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.6 or under, we'll go in for a lay.
2.35 Cheltenham. NOLAND (3.2)
Our price 12/5 (3.4) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 3.1 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware that he has a tendency to lead, or race very prominent in his races*
3.00 Southwell. COPPERBOTTOMED (2.48)
Our price 19/10 (2.9) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 2.6 or under.
3.40 Southwell. ALEXANDER HURICANE (2.66)
Our price 19/10 (2.9) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.6 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware that he's led in a couple of races away from this track, and although tracked the pace on his only visit here (only time he's lost, but decent enough none the less), it wouldn't be any surprise if he tried to make all again*
4.25 Southwell. MY FRIEND FRITZ (3.45)
Our price 12/5 (3.4) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 3.1 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders note that although his tendency is to track the pace, he has gone to the front before if not enough early pace*
4.55 Sedgefield. CHABRIMAL MINSTER (2.26)
Our price 13/10 (2.3) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.0 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware that he has a few ways of running, and no surprise to see a prominent display in context with today's race*
5.05 Southwell. MINUS FIFTEEN (1.84)
Our price Evens (2.0) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.7 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware that he's raced prominent in his only two races to date*
5.20 Cheltenham. ASHKAZAR (3.55)
Our price 13/5 (3.6) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 3.3 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware that this fella has a tendency to lead, or race very prominent in his races*
5.30 Sedgefield. SIR TANTALLUS HAWK (2.62)
Our price 21/10 (3.1) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 2.8 or under. *Please note that more emphasis has had to go on early markets for this race*
All races priced up with non runners taken into account, up until 10:04am.
That's what we have to work around for this afternoon then. Never easy, and we don't expect it to be, but we do have enough within our armoury to warrant going into battle, so discipline to the maximum and take advantage of any prices that come our way. Good luck and speak soon...
