Paying For Tips

Hello fellow gamblers,I'm new to South African racing.I only started following after watching Atthe races on a Friday night.
One of the presenters was a portly chap called Joey Da Mata,he sounded like he knew the stuff and right people.
He advertised on twitter under the name senorsanta.i followed and lost regular over the time I was looking.
When the guy did get lucky,he posted bank account and sort code details asking for a donation.
That's ok if he is good and maybe he was just on a bad run.
Can anyone vouch for this guy and is he worth following long term.

Just really wanted to know if this presenter was a good tipster or like the majority,a fraud.

search this site...lots of opinions....You say you are new to SA racing...do you follow tips in other countries...? I look at other peoples fancies...(tu)but I follow my own....:)obut I don't punt...(:Dbecause my record is not good enough to make money....

I buy racing post and study for Ennglish racing,I have favourite jockeys and trainers I follow.But I have no idea about South African form.
Can you let me know,who is worth following on here.

I hope he isn't offended and is a easy going type of guy.

Follow no-one Merlin imho. What you get here are confidence boosters imo, over time you get to respect the opinion of certain clanners and if they happen to mention they like one that you have also chosen then it simply gives extra confidence in backing that horse. Or they sound bullish so you look again at that horse. Either way, it doesn't mean it will win of course! () I don't think you should ask for an opinion on whether to follow any individual, you must come to that decision yourself.

we all good when they win......facts are as i say its a hobby. I was asked to start twitter , i have turned down 3 offers to charge for tips. Studying form properly takes hours and hours, my business does £6 million a year, i work on art sometimes and again the proceeds from that go to the nearly 3 year olds account.

BUT please believe me, if i chose to commercialise selecting/tipping, i (and others) will find people to buy the product.

and the reason i take offence is because on Thursday one of the lads that follows me asked me about PLACE betting (a big part of my strategy) He has an account with paddy power and could not understand how i won and he lost on a particular race. I sent him my number (total stranger) and spoke to the lad for 45 minutes. He now has a bet fair account and accounts with other bookies, I KNOW i helped him. Whether its following me or himself he now has BETTER tools to go to war with.

That made my day, and was free and with the greatest pleasure
