"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon' Thursday 13th March Workings...
17 years 2 months ago
Afternoon.
This afternoon completed, and went as follows.....
The 1st runner we wanted 2.2, and with being around 2.28 on arrival and then a withdrawal and 19.2% reduction, we now wanted a lay price of 1.97. The price then went into around 1.85 and lower, so we had a lay at 1.85 max. There was then a withdrawal right before the off before a new market could be formed, so an irritating start for us as we had to concede a bit of the full lay with waiting for the reduction after the race (was 10% by the way). Anyhow, the lay finished 2nd after a battle, so a good result..........
The 2nd runner we wanted 3.3, and with being around 3.5 on arrival and then dropping down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 3.3 max. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.6 and slightly beyond, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was nicely beaten, so a good result........
The 3rd runner we wanted 2.0, and with being around 2.32 on arrival and just getting bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage at all, so all had to avoid the race. The runner didn't get a good start, and never got in a telling blow to be fair, so the drift justified and 'one that got away in hindsight'.......
The 4th runner we wanted 2.2, and with being around 2.56 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner showed his usual guts to win, so won it 3 times on the spin now! a good leave........
The 5th runner we wanted 1.5, and with being around 1.77 on arrival and only getting bigger, we never see a penny matched at our price at any stage at all, so a race to avoid for all. The runner went and won, so another good leave.......
The 6th runner we wanted 2.9, and with being a well supported 2.58 on arrival and getting shorter, we had a lay at 2.58 max. The lay looked in a spot of bother before the home turn, but in the end won very easily and so the way it goes! Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.........
The 7th runner we wanted 2.7, and with being around 2.98 on arrival and then dropping down to us, we had a lay at the rock bottom of the market and 2.7. The price then went for a walk out to our own price of 3.0 and beyond, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade went and won a dour struggle, so hats off and the way it goes. Glad of the 'free' bet now though.......
The 8th runner's race was off by the time we got there, so had to miss this race. For the record it had drifted out to a no bet, and got beat....
The 9th runner we wanted 2.7, but a non runner and 5% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.62. There was then another withdrawal and further 4.2% reduction, so we now wanted a lay price of 2.55 (2.56 nearest exchange price). The price was around 3.15 on arrival and never came down to us at any stage at all, so we all had to avoid the race. The runner was well beaten, so the drift justified, and 'one that got away in hindsight'........
The 10th runner we wanted 2.8, and with being a well supported 2.34 on arrival, we had a lay at around 2.34. The lay was nicely beaten, so a good result.........
The 11th and final runner we wanted 3.2, and with being around 2.96 on arrival, we had a lay at around 2.96. The lay came in 3rd after a 3 way battle for the line, so a good result.......
WELL PLAYED..................(4 from the first 7 (57%) went and won - So a very awkward time given to us, but we dealt with it well and got the money!)
'Rolling' strategy/targets players (no 'free' lays for them) won 'at least' 0.8 of a target..........They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner, and then hit their targets on the 2nd runner..........They then started their 2nd strategy/target on the 6th runner, and after a tough start they hit back to break level on their 4th lay (the 11th and final runner), or at worst conceded 0.2 of a target, so at the very worst they won 0.8 of a target on the day!.......
Bank builder strategy/target players had their 1st lay (the 1st runner) at 1.85 max, and a good result, despite a 10% reduction 'after' the race, see 4 runner builders especially, go very close to hitting their targets, and if taking the advised strategy, then they walk with being within 10% of the target..............(next was a free bet that bought a tiny profit anyhow)
5 runner builders needed a little more, and they then had a 'free' lay (the 2nd runner) that bought a tiny profit..........They then had their 2nd lay (the 6th runner) at 2.58, but a poor result see them give a tiny bit back............They then had another 'free' lay (the 7th runner) that only bought relief................Then came their 3rd lay (the 10th runner), and a good result see them hit their targets....

Traders either won, or broke level on all their trades, so they had a good day and well played guys...
So builders either took just under the target (10% or under needed of the target, then advised to take that and run), or stuck around for a bit playing with peanuts before eventually hitting, so well played guys. Rollers walked away with at least 0.8 of a target, and with too many winners throughout the day, they'll look back and smile after a solid effort. Speak soon with this evening's workings...
