Respect that the fact that Capel Top may be above average
Silver Bluff at 8/1 with Cormack up and down in class , very consistent - can pick up the pieces should the fav.fail. Places for cover

Indeed - got lost early on (after the balls-up at the start I thought she was going to a non-runner) and then had nowhere to go but in - thinks she may be worth following next time out - here's hoping that Anthony can do a better job on the Adams runner in the next (tu)
And great stuff by Pirhobeta - when you're hot you are smoking (tu)

must have lost a few kg's just from the sweating on his way down - I had a horse the dripped everytime he ran and it never phased him but this guy looks nervous

I agree that her best runs have been from off the pace, and there was no specific intention to run handy today. However, she jumped well and there was not much pace on, and the jockey made the best of the situation by settling her in second. In addition there is a bit of a tailwind today so you don't want to be caught too far back. The fact that the pacemaker stayed on for 3rd confirms that the two leaders did not over race. She had every chance, and JP reported that she was galloping well within herself, and was traveling well until he let her go and asked for her effort 300m out. Then she just folded instead of going through with it.
Her blood test this week was fine. However, there have been horses in the yard which have had respitory infections where they don't show any symptoms and which is only picked up when a lung wash is done after a disappointing run.
This run was many lengths below her best, and very disappointing for us as we think she is a nice filly with a lot of potential, and that she had a decent winning chance here.
