Are the 15% promo's not some sore of a rewards programme?

Yes it absolutely is but they come around twice a year. They are however much appreciated. I'm sure they also send out bottles of whiskey or whatever to their loyal patrons....

My point is that it could be so much bigger and more involved. Casinos are now built on marketing and promotional programs. You could almost operate "junket types" getting people in to play at Hollywood by giving them incentives, albeit cash back or whatever else.

The problem with bookmaking is that it is very tough to set a margin and therefore accurately budget for what they can and cannot spend on marketing, unlike casinos and very much unlike those dingbats at Pukelela.....

Tommy, you right, even though HW do offer something there is more that can bE done. I was at Emperors casino over the Christmas period a few times and was amazed to see R2 Roulette and R5 Blackjack tables and believe me these tables were full of patrons. On top of that there is a loyalty programme with plenty promotional value to the customer. What am i getting at, well racing needs to seriously jack up there marketing mix and offer there customer some sort of value added incentive before it is 2 late.

I wonder which will be thriving in 20 years, Casino's or Racing??

From a pure gambling perspective I am amazed how racing has survived. The tote takeouts inclusive of taxes (18%-25%) are just too high compared with a tax free 3% on roulette. Couple this with shite customer service and one considers the state of racing today ...

With regards to more loyalty bonuses, we will be focusing on this in the year to come.
