Rent a Crowd
17 years 2 months ago
Forum visitors over the weekend will have witnessed the attack on ABC (all of us) via posts from new registrations Sahd and Orion.
Were they speaking for themselves or are they a sort of "rent a crowd" who post on behalf of other people?
Was this attack purely because ABC exposed the SMS spammer, Clinton Basel, or is there something more sinister happening?
Are there more of them out there...?
Who is pulling the strings..?
It promises to be an interesting week.

Fully agree Chris and that's why I posed the R64,000 question earlier:
'If the person was an employee of yours - what would you do?'
Of course, it becomes a heck of a lot more serious IF said person(s) acted on behalf/behest of there employers - and to what extent direct / in-directly, they did so?
OR
of course, it could just be the workings of a person not the 'full quid' - and out of control. If so, that I dare say, can be handled accordingly -
but if not. . .
Time will tell - nite mate.

Have a look at the final question in my posting on the Phumelela/RA/ABC topic.
I ask a similar question....employee of Phumelela or the RA or any related orginisation, and also Clinton Basel/ Clyde Basel..................is there a family connection....
The main question regarding this SPAMming issue, is WHO supplied the cell numbers.
This has become a very BIG question. To me the members on this site has been asking Clyde Basel to become the CEO of the RA and then to shoot with straight arrows, or to ensure that Phumelela shoots with straight arrows.
This week will supply lots of answers. Mr Clinton Basel did us a BIG favor this weekend.

Sharkie, your post hits the spot, the spamming issue is all about where the personal data came from and I will add, the shameless punting of the premium services on Tellytrack by the operator, Clinton Basel. Surely this cannot go without comment by either Phumelela or the RA regardless of the individuals involved.
We would appear to have opened a hornets nest, I will now open it further........
The incestuous nature of Tellytrack.
On Friday in PE, success was enjoyed by a Klawervlei stallion. It was announced that if anyone wanted to contact Grant Knowles they should call in the studio and they would be put in touch. I ask if the same plug is available to all breeders.....we all know the answer to that.
Watch, listen there are many examples on a daily basis, TellyTrack has degenerated into a farce, a propaganda and incestuous marketing tool and little else.
This practice must stop and it must stop now, the SA race media has a responsibility to bring these instances into the public domain. Racing cannot continue to operate in this way.
If anyone can hand on heart say that Tellytrack has not become the friendly society, the home of free plugs for the enterprises of contracted employees and the operations of major of P shareholders I would love to hear their arguement.
I understand Nico K is the Tellytrack controller, we asked him to comment on the spam issue on Friday and we expect him to do so. Subsequent to our mail there is now more food for thought in view of the attacks on ABC over the course of Saturday and Sunday.
No heads on childrens train sets or trojan horses, no personal agenda, no hatchet job, just us highlighting the incestuous nature of the sport and an attitude which we firmly believe holds it back.
Lets unite and put an end to it would be a great line to end with.
Tall order, to many people feathering their own nests, all we can do is tell you who they are, and we will continue to do so in the hope that people back us and help bring change.
Until then, your welcome, if you wish, to put up with me asking why we let them get away with it. It's a disgrace.

I for one was not around this weekend and got back to some serious stuff here on ABC.
I say never ban these posters unless they start getting vulgar and abusive.
Why you might say ?? Because as we have a platform to ask the questions, give them the platform to defend themselves.
Because WE ONLY ASK THE QUESTIONS. Where else would we get the answers from if not these posters ??

ABC has so many different type of cultures, races and religions on here and for someone to call ABC the KKK lovers is the most ridiculous statement ever.
We have greeks, indians, coloureds, afrikaaners, english gee wuzz we even had a bloke from Singapore posting here.
This is not the first neither the last time we will have a issue like this.
Stunts like this should only strengthen this website/forum. It shows that people in high places read ABC .
What a joke Jamster, calling us KKK lovers.

Exactly mate - debate by all means BUT it was more of the deflect from the issues at hand - that always seem to happen whenever ABC highlight yet another question that needs answering - and quite simply, it fools NO ONE.
Anyhow - keep on keeping on mate - I hope your getting it at the track!
Jim.
