Can we expect a commentator to be totally impartial?

In view of the call on the finish of the Horse Chestnut, is it possible for commentators to be totally unattached from the the race. In my opinion Clyde was willing CTN to win so much so that he misjudged the finish on the replay?
Other emotional examples include aussie jims tone n voice when nolan almost blew it on Black Caviar or Graeme Hawkins "you bring him home call" for Horse Chestnut.

Maybe set a new rule, don`t call the winner when under a head, just say its too close to call or photo or its going to the judge

Thats what rivon does.unless a horse wins by a lenght or more he always leaves it to the judge.
I find it frustrating especially when u listening to telephone commentary.
Other guys get it right 9 out 10.

Who cares? The commentator calling a certain horse does not mean the one you backed has a disadvantage. You watching the race and you can see how well your horse is travelling.

If he has an opinion then the commentator must call the finish. But he must'nt get it wrong in the slo-mo.

Commentators set themselves up when they become part of the tipping panel on course, rather stick to one job and stop multitasking imo...

why commit if its so close rather just say like in the UK (when we could watch the uk ) up to the judge - locals want to look clever then actually look like cakes
