Happy St.Georges a Day,I'm sure it's only me and Engles celebrating it.

Keep St George in my heart, keep me English
ENGLAND - LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT!
For Dave and any other English folk circulating here... Happy St George's Day
-D
William Blake (1757 - 1827)
And did those feet in ancient time
Walk upon England's mountains green?
And was the holy Lamb of God
On England's pleasant pastures seen?
And did the Countenance Divine
Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
And was Jerusalem builded here
Among these dark Satanic Mills?
Bring me my bow of burning gold!
Bring me my arrows of desire!
Bring me my spear! O clouds, unfold!
Bring me my chariot of fire!
I will not cease from mental fight,
Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand,
Till we have built Jerusalem
In England's green and pleasant land
Rupert Brooke (1887-1915)
If I should die, think only this of me:
That there’s some corner of a foreign field
That is forever England. There shall be
In that rich earth a richer dust concealed;
A dust whom England bore, shaped, made aware,
Gave, once, her flowers to love, her ways to roam,
A body of England’s, breathing English air,
Washed by the rivers, blest by suns of home.
And think, this heart, all evil shed away,
A pulse in the Eternal mind, no less
Gives somewhere back the thoughts by England given,
Her sights and sounds; dreams happy as her day;
And laughter, learnt of friends; and gentleness,
In hearts at peace, under an English heaven.

Good one Englander. Good luck on St Gorgeous Day and hope your cricket team improves soonish {Mav hastily ducks flying arrows, burning spears, etc.}
For some reason I fell in love with Cambridge some 25 years ago and have never gotten over it. I may not have a drop of English blood in me but my heart goes soft when I think of the streets and colleges of that magical city. All real menchen love their homeland, even if they weren't born there and don't live in it.
Gregbucks, I'm longing for the day I can get back to Oudtshoorn and a whole snoek braaied in tinfoil with special sizzly sauce. Ahhhh ...

Never in tin foil. Braai the snoek skin-side down for 15 mins.
