HH and keniza, what makes a presenter good to me is obviously a lot different than to you, I am happy that someone like Louis G who has forgotten more about training, handicapping, punting, buying horses, placing horses, running a top notch stable etc etc than either of you will ever learn, agrees with me because now I am more than certain I am correct.
Both these young boys are tops and should be utilized much more!

Deez is top notch, his info is excellent, and he presents from the punters side, taking into account the kind of horses we would be looking for, most of the other commentators generally predict as follows: 1) Fav, 2) 2nd Fav etc....what do you guys think?

him and Sheldon are the best as they go the extra mile for the punter being punters themselves they know how our minds work

Oscar... bud
tut tut lol... tis not fair to ask for opinions and then shoot down those that disagree quite so vociferously!
-
Gareth is good in Kimberley but he knows them there, would he be so good elsewhere where information might not be so forthcoming etc. Deserves an opportunity imo.
Ali and the CT commentators I have no issues with, generally a good standard given some of the difficulties faced and the volume stays on.
Julie... a good presenter imo and should concentrate on that. Rod, presenting is just not you imo. Molly would be better imo if he worried less about his own bets on air!
Deez... the punter's pal. Laff a decent presenter imo but wouldn't listen to his tips, perhaps knows horses too well and that is why he all too often ends up on the fav, needs to take other factors into consideration a bit more me thinks
Nadine... used to ask some tough questions, has she stopped? And if so, why? Has she been told to?
Sheldon just is not my cup of tea and his commentary style just irritates the fark out of me, still far too wishy-washy rather than informative, hard worker though. Nico, I am just not interested in being told time again that Striker is wonderful etc and unfortunately I think other jocks, trainers, owners are increasingly getting a little too much wordy attention... horrid to listen to
Vicky and Stan make a good team imo but need to ask the tough questions and be a little more decisive in their selections
Dumpy, endearing in some ways and for all his faults, I think he will be missed when he moves on

The female presenters are passionate about the game and very pleasant, but articulation is not a strength of any one of them!

The ffg are my opinions!!!
The KZN commentators are the best . Trevor & Eric Denman were also greats. Have some of Trevor's calls on tape from years gone by and theres nobody that comes close today.
Alastair Cohen has no personality and a face for radio.
Deez is tops...Laffs is not
Stan.....similar to Jimmy Lithgo....may have considerable knowledge etc but just fail to "excite"
