Turfontein Lights Contractor Liquidated

Extract from Moneyweb's interview with Jim Tennant, CEO of Phumelela :

MONEYWEB: Jim, let's look at the local scene - and the debacle around night racing at Turffontein seems to have sorted itself out. You must be pretty pleased with that?

JIM TENNANT: Chris, (not ABC's Chris but Chris Buchanan of Moneyweb), we are. It comes with a few added problems because the light-mast contractor that we'd negotiated a fixed price with has gone into liquidation, and we now have to contend with trying to find somebody to replace them. We're talking to two possible suppliers. We have to deal now not only with Iscor's price increases, the availability of steel - the whole thing is a little bit in the melting pot. We are delighted to answer your question, but we are meeting up with the contractors early next week to see how we can take this thing forward.

Mmmm... !

Turffontein...2 f's as in ffuckup... I don't know who runs the show there, but the excuse for not having the jenny ready for scheduled power out must be a duzie?

Must be real monetary loses, but still bet you no heads will role. That's how you guarentee more ff's.
