It cannot be accepted that trainers/jockeys send horses to the track just to educate them with no regard taken for the punter. Cormack gets beaten a short head into 4th. He never gives his horse one smack with the whip and I have seen 4kg claim apprentices more vigorous in the finish.

Pathetic case of giving a horse a run !

I concur - one to black-book win or lose

Given a soft introduction, won't miss next time over 1200.

Who gives them permission to give "soft introductions" ?

The NHA.................by failing to enforce their own rules.
Our racing is presently, virtually, unregulated.

The NHRA endorse this if they do not enforce these rules

62.2.1 take all reasonable and permissible measures throughout a RACE to ensure that
his HORSE is given a full opportunity to win or to obtain the best possible placing;
62.2.2 ride his HORSE in a competent and professional manner;
62.2.3 ride his HORSE out to the end of a RACE

May be to the horse's long term benefit? - just a thought.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

If they backed it into odds on I can guarantee you that whip would have been well used. Leave it to me, they wont get on next time !
