"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon' Friday 11th April Workings...

Afternoon.

This afternoon completed, and went as follows......

The 1st runner we wanted 2.7, and with being around 2.76 on arrival and then dropping down to us and beyond, we had a lay at 2.7 max. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.0 and slightly beyond, so now a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade pulled very hard early which never helps, but it didn't stop him winning, so a good effort and the way it goes. Glad of the 'free' bet now though........

The 2nd runner we wanted 3.2, and with being around 3.45 on arrival and then dropping down to us and beyond, we had a lay at 3.2 max. The lay went and won a battling finish, so frustrating, but the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.......

The 3rd runner we wanted 2.7, and with being a big 5.0 on arrival and not coming down to our lay price at any stage, we all had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten, so the drift more than justified, and 'one that got away in hindsight'............

The 4th runner we wanted 2.8, and with drifting to around 3.05 on arrival and then dropping back down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 2.8 max. The lay raced into a big lead very early, and in hindsight that cost him with being tired and beaten late on, so a good result..........

The 5th runner we wanted 2.0, and with being around 2.14 on arrival and then dropping down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 2.0 max. The lay went and won a battling finish, so again the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it........

The 6th runner we wanted 3.3, and with being around 4.0 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage, it was a race to avoid for all. The runner went and won, so a nice priced winner, but more importantly a good leave......

The 7th runner we wanted 2.1, and with being around 1.98 on arrival, we had a lay at around 1.98. The lay looked in trouble, but then dug deep to win, so yet another favourite wins and the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.......

The 8th runner we wanted 3.0, but a non runner and 12.5% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.75. The price was around 2.68 on arrival and so we had a lay at around 2.68. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.05 (was 3.3 before reductions) and so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade looked booked for 2nd until the leader made a bad blunder at the last, then came through to win it! so yet another favourite wins and the way it goes. Glad of the free bet now though, so nothing lost.........

The 9th and final runner we wanted 3.2, but a non runner and 22.2% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.7. The price was 2.7 on arrival and so we had a lay at 2.7. The lay came in 2nd and so a good result..........

WELL PLAYED/BATTLED..................(2 from the first 2 (100%) went and won - and 6 from the 9 (66.66%) in total! So ultra tough, and today we had to grin and bear it!)

'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) had to concede 4 targets...........They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner, and after a poor start and then battling against far too many winners, they had to concede 4 targets after their 5th lay (the 7th runner)...

'Bank building' strategy/target players started with a 'free' lay (the 1st runner) that only bought relief...........They then had their 1st lay (the 2nd runner) at 3.2 max, and a poor result see them go behind.......Then came their 2nd lay (the 4th runner) at 2.8 max, and a good result see them claw a chunk back............They then had their 3rd lay (the 5th runner) at 2.0 max, but a poor result see them go a bit further behind........Then came their 4th lay (the 7th runner) at 1.98, but a poor result see 4 runner builders concede 1.8 targets...

5 runner builders went in search for their 5th lay, and came to a 'free' lay (the 8th runner), which only bought relief..........They then went to their 5th lay (the 9th runner) at 2.7 max, and a good result see them break level.....

Traders either won, or broke level on all their trades, so they win a tiny bit, but a cracking result with so many winners. Well played guys...

So another very tough session with far too many winners, and rollers who are open to the odd bad day, had to suffer one! so hard luck to them, but not much they could've done with all those winners. Builders, especially 5 runner players, played a blinder to finish level, so very well played guys. Be glad to get away to be honest this time of season, so have a good evening and speak in the morning...
