I'm not studying for it Bob. Had an overview look and it seems to be a tricky card anyway but throw in the soft ground that many have had little or no experience of and probably one to avoid.

The fact that every site I have looked at is predicting thunderstorms in the Joburg area from early pm also influenced the decision. Could easily see little or no racing but, although I won't get involved, let's hope otherwise.

I think it could pay to follow the De Kock stable at both Turffontein and Greyville - mix and match them

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

63kg must be a concern for the followers of Depardieu but he should run well
The one that catches my eye is the lightly raced 3yo Silence Descends but the race is open
Not keen on Morpeous at all
