Been huge improvement in Mumbai,trying to upgrade roads etc..what i found amazing was you go from the 5 star hotel,you walk outside and there are beggars on the street!Also chaotic traffic BUT NO-ONE STRESSES and wants to kill you with a baseball bat....our taxi drivers should go there for 3 weeks intensive training on how to drive.

All drivers understand each other. If they had Metro here everyone would be fined. I had my heart in my hand on the way to the hotel. A lady walked into a taxi and obviously got hurt but turned around and walked away. DAMN !!!!

The scenary is sad. Houses on the river banks sad very sad. Little did I know it would be such a cultural shock.

I took a walk at 1:30 this morning . Two ladies walking their dogs. Couple sitting on couch outside having tea. No stress . Try that in SA.

Hi El,

Just got back from 9 days in India myself.Like you say it is a culture shock,but the best part for me is that it has made be be very grateful for everything I have in life.It's not the type of place I would rush back to again,but it is a real eye opener.

The most amazing thing to me was 5 people on a motor bike,which saw on 3 occasions!
