Well I took the 50/1 with sportingbet. Let's say Imibala wins, what right have they to void my bet? Will just have to wait and see if Santa comes to town (I took a screen shot of the bet just in case they deny laying such odds)

The betting and jockey bookings in race 3 are interesting regards the Bass runners. No Resistance (with Domeyer up) opened 9/2 and is currently trading at 2/1 and Air Vice Marshall (with Van Niekerk up) is 20/1. Oddly enough Van Niekerk has ridden No Resistance in all 5 starts and the horse is just starting to show some semblence of coming to form, yet he rides Air Vice Marshall who was never fancied in either start and has run no closer than 12 lengths. If Van Niekark is the stable jockey, one would imagine he would have first choice and on exposed form, it's a no brainer.

Question, is this a coup or manipulation of the market? Do believe Imibala is the one they've both got to beat and could start a decent price in light of the "support" for No Resistance.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Bayern, there have been plenty seemingly strange riding arrangements in the Bass stable this meeting and last, including GVN riding for other stables despite Bass having runners. I have no clue if it is weight, suitability to the horses, a partial feud or what. Someone last meeting was questioning whether GVN was still stable jockey.

Merchy, they have no right to do it imo but it is in their Terms n Conditions, can't remember under what off the top of my head. But, heigh, ho Good Luck, I would love them to get slaughtered :)

My best for the day is baby be mine @4/1 e/w. Has done very well in last two when dropping back in company from bad draws. Good jockey up and finally cracking a good draw should make all the difference. Shouldn't miss top 3 imo.

Backed the last 4 winners, always remember that Rob Faux owned the final leg El Kapitaine

Sure it was the 4 morning favs but 3 off the drifted in the betting Torah ended 14/1 I think
Yip, I remember that day Bob......I'm afraid today's card has very few opportunities that I can see!

Fat bottom girl ( but not a stable I often catch right) and the final leg of the p6 should be between 1 and 13.

I can't narrow it down more than that-P6 could be a big payout?

Don't do it Sanju, not only will they not settle at that price they will then ban you for daring to try and take advantage of one of their numerous errors or think that you only back supported horses #jokeofash1tbookies[/quote

Are you serious England..

Partially Sanju. All bookies these days (in the UK anyway) monitor bets with a fine toothcomb looking for people who back over-priced horses, ones that consistently shorten etc and if they find such consistencies they will restrict/ban you soon enough. For someone who likes idiot bets like me it is a nightmare as many fail to appreciate how volatile the SA market can be. That said, in my early days I confess I took advantage of loopholes, ie the delay in updating prices in the UK, though imho this is down to their sheer incompetence and/or laziness... if I know the new price of a horse, they sure as hell should and it is not my fault if they don't update their prices in a timely manner. They though would seemingly rather ban people than get their house in order. Anyway, I did an idiot bet with Sportingbet, had not been with them long, was backed from 50s into 8s, won and just my luck got demoted after an enquiry. I was immediately thereafter restricted to winning 20 pounds on a single bet. No other bookie has done it to me with such minimal justification imho. Though I think Paddy Power are the worst of the worst.

Oh and I am entirely serious about them not settling at that price, especially as you have highlighted it here! :) You can live in hope but I would put your chances of being paid at 50/1 at less than 0.01% but no-one will be happier than me if it happens :)
