David Rahilly hands in trainers licence

I heard yesterday David Rahilly has been appointed as a stipe. This is good news as I believe ex jockeys and in his case trainers can only boost the current crop of stipes. Good luck David

Sad to loose David as trainer - was not an easy decision for him, unfortunately non payments by owners played big part in decision - He put the interest of the horse first until the very end . I wish him all the best in his new adventure .

Sorry nothing against DR but imo trainers and Jockeys should not become stipes.

About 35 years ago I was told by the then Jockey Club that I had to have a law degree to be a stipe.

I applied to be a stipe but the ROSE TINTED glasses they wanted me to wear gave me ahead ache so i did not accept.

i also suffer from Strabismus which makes photo finishes very difficult to judge.
