Was Gavin Lerena riding?

Very punishing ride, some of the cracks of the whip he gave that horse when clearly beaten looked eccessive imo (above shoulder height)

was he teaching a lazy horse a lesson?

Bob, again it shows the the KZN horses are a good 10 lengths worse than their JHB counterparts.
