I'd have been shocked and disappointed if it had been a changed result Bob, looked minimal to me and thought the winner always going slightly the better. But, I am no "rules" master so feared the worst! lol

Engels, but if they have an intimidtation rule in place? how do the stipes know either way if in that horses head it slowed down because it was intimidated by the other horse?

It probably depends on the extent of the factors that are/ need to be considered.......if both horses were mature I would agree entirely with the stipes decision.
I would, however not be so sure that a 2 yr old wasn't more intimidated,due to immaturity, and might have been more affected??
Is that difference relevant ? or is it just one of the extra risks of running 2 yr olds in open company?
