"Group" RESULTS - 'Evening' Thursday 1st May Workings...

Evening.

This evening completed, and went as follows.......

The 1st runner we wanted 1.7, and with being around 1.81 on arrival and then dropping down to us and slightly beyond under good support, we had a lay at 1.7 max. The lay went and won well, so no complaints and the way it goes.........

The 2nd runner we wanted 2.0, and with being around 1.81 on arrival, we had a lay at around 1.81. The lay looked in trouble, but knuckled down well enough to win a hard though battle, so frustrating, but the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.........

The 3rd runner we wanted 2.1, and with being around 2.52 on arrival and then tumbling down to us and beyond under good support, we had a lay at 2.1 max. The lay was beaten, so a good result........

The 4th runner we wanted 3.0, and with getting that on arrival and getting slightly shorter, we had a lay at 3.0 max. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.3 and beyond, so a chance for builders and traders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was beaten after a battling finish, so a good result.........

The 5th and final runner we wanted 2.0, and with being around 2.06 on arrival, being over 45 minutes to the race, and all strategy play complete (unless 5 runner builders, then need a little to recoup), I'm leaving it there at levels and will chill out ready for the morning...Good luck with trading the last guys..

'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Finished Levels..............They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner, and after a poor start, they then broke level after their 4th lay (the 4th runner) and so with being levels, one potential lay left, and no room at all for error, they end it here, so levels on the session....

WELL PLAYED/BATTLED....................(2 from the first 2 (100%) went and won - but although we suffered with them, we also bounced back soon after to finish levels, so well played guys)

'Bank building' strategy/target players started with their 1st lay (the 1st runner) at 1.7 max, but a poor result see them go behind early...........They then had their 2nd lay (the 2nd runner) at 1.81, but another poor result see them go a bit more behind.........Then came their 3rd lay (the 3rd runner) at 2.1 max, and good result see 4 runner builders break level, so they walk away with being levels, and no room at all for error with only one potential lay left.......

5 runner builders needed a little more, and they then had a 'free' lay (the 4th runner)

Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100

1st lay £100 to win the £100 target @ 1.7 max. Result negative. Lose £70

Total bank now £330

2nd lay £110 to recoup the £70 @ 1.81. Result negative. Lose £57

Total bank now £273

3rd lay £136 to recoup as much of the £127 @ 2.1 max. Result positive. Win £123

Total bank now £396.

So with being within 10% of levels, and probably all levels with gaining slightly better odds at least once on the three runners, they end it there with now no room at all for error and being level.

Overall result. Level.

Traders had to concede a little on the 1st runner at 1.7 max, but all others see them win a bit, or break level, so they finish around levels and they'll take that after a day with far too many winners. Well played today guys..

So another tough session, but we dug deep and walk away with our satchels seeled and ready for tomorrow. Well battled guys and speak in the morning...

Afternoon.

Workings for this evening's racing then, as follows......

5.40 Huntingdon. RYDAL PARK (1.81)

Our price Evens (2.0) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.7 or under, we'll go in for a lay.

5.50 Great Leighs. BOZ (1.88)

Our price 13/10 (2.3) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 2.0 or under.

6.10 Huntingdon. FAIRYLAND (2.54)

Our price 7/5 (2.4) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.1 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Please note that more emphasis has gone on the early market for clues, concerning this race*

6.20 Great Leighs. SKY DIVE (3.0)

Our price 23/10 (3.3) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.0 or under.

7.10 Huntingdon. HEATHCOTE (2.18)

Our price 13/10 (2.3) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.0 or under, we'll go in for a lay.

All races priced up with non runners taken into account, up until 15:52pm

That's our work for this evening then, and although looking tricky, we still have enough about us to warrant going into battle, so with discipline to the maximum, and with taking advantage of any prices that come our way, we'll hope the value wins the session as it certainly does over a period of time. No room at all for error early (if we get a start) and so good luck guys..Good luck and speak soon..
