I noticed that there was an Oratorio running today at Happy Valley . So I go check to see how it got on ,and this is the information available ...

Information is power and makes for informed and happy customers, such a simple concept.

Hard to believe that locally we are doing our best to constantly keep players in the dark.

That is very interesting .........every bit of info there has been available in that format,locally over time, but never all in one publication.
1)Those photos were originally in Duffs turf guide and SA Racing mirror-when they were sold to computaform they were retained, until recently!
2) the positions of the horses at various stages were recently removed from Computaform by the genius's who see no need (how are they going to reflect sectional timing without those columns?)
3)if they wanted to improve the Computaform they should have added a column for the actual time of each runner (as shown in the example) ...they used to show winners time , and we had to adjust the placings!
4)Sporting Post include what in my opinion is the most valuable tool of all which is a rating of each run, which shows the consistency and highlights favored course and distances , at a glance (Computaform did steal the idea of reflecting a horses highest ever MR finally!)which is very useful!
5)Duffs turf and Racing mirror used to provide a summary of the race including observations worthy of including in form assessment!
Bob, your post is a sad reminder that we weren't always behind ......we were once ahead but computaform bought out the opposition which was fine until they ruined it(IMO).
If we had visionaries our racing information could be amazing as it would consist of an easy to read,hard copy form guide (uncluttered) which , in conjunction with an internet based data base with all the stats and extended info,would provide a punter with every aid needed!
Instead we got the new Computaform! :ohmy:

This is the reason why I dont like commingling. If you shrewd you can get on!!! I hope we dont get commingled with Hong Kong.
