Wow, never seen so many poor horses running on the same day.

IMO :

Race 1. (2) GAIN GROUND - Delpech A (Trained by Mike de Kock)
Race 2. (9) ROY'S GUL GUL HA - Lerena G
Race 3. (14) WAY OF ESCAPE -Delpech A
Race 4. (12) HIGH GAME - Lerena G
Race 5. (5) SHEZALEADER - Marcus A
Race 6. (6) MACKDESI - Yeni M
Race 7. (13) PATCHIT UP BABY -Yeni M
Race 8. (2) KINGSTON MINES - Delpech A (Trained by Mike de Kock)
Race 9. (3) TORO ROSSO - Fourie R

R1
I somehow feel ROY'S QUEEN (6) Yeni M trained by Kumaren Naidoo is probably taking it.

R5
Tricky, SHEZALEADER (5) SURFING BELLE (6) both trained by Dennis Bosch both same age and same kit, and powered by two great jockeys A Marcus and G Lerena

R8
DISCO AL (3) Marcus A , HOT TICKET (1) can be winners as well.

R9
BRATISLAVA (12) Khumalo S and DUCHESS KATE (11) Yeni M both trained by Duncan Howells , have great potential to win.

Beezo. thanks for asking (you fool ;) lol) but I'll pass bud if I may. Only did a skim through really and tend to side with Bayern's assessment. I don't think the one you mention is chanceless... has the draw, some comparatively reasonable c form and seemed to improve with, I assume, pacifiers lto. Too many possibilities in the race for my liking though and RL not at the sort of price I would take the chance. It would be no surprise to me though if she were to win. And yes, that may be sitting on the fence a bit but that is where I'm gonna stay ;)

Is Savage wind the pace angle in the Derby?

I think if HOT TICKET runs his race he wins, anywhere near 1/1 is a gift

Beezo, here's my take on R3, if this makes any sense. I kind of narrowed it down to two horses, Ravishing Lilly and Birkin's Best, however it doesn't stop there.

Ravishing Lilly has improved with every run in her last four, and if continuing the trend, should end up in the winner's box. In her last run, she finished 7 lengths clear of the third horse, unfortunately the form from that race has not stood up - three runners since and all unplaced :( . Having said that, this field is of a similar strength, so a repeat of her last effort and you will be in the pay-out queue. She is drawn well and there has been betting support, so she is fancied.

Birkin's Best, she is not without a chance either. See they have put the blinkers back on, and the last time she ran with blinkers, she finished a close second. She is drawn well and raced very handy in her only effort with blinkers. Stick Marcus on top and she comes into the reckoning. The big question (for me) with Birkin's Best is whether she will go as well on the turf as she does on the poly? No disrespect to the other jockeys (the situation), it is what it is, take Marcus off this horse, what price then?

The immediate danger to the two mentioned may well be Highly Regal. Albeit coming back in distance by some distance, she also tends to ran fairly handy and may suck the other two into a throat cutting exercise and out-last them. Certainly not without a chance.

Of the rest, I think there will be pace in the race, which a no-hoper on exposed form is looking for, and she runs them all down at ridiculous odds.

I am told fortune favours the brave
