Remember the 1995 Rothmans July.

Jonny G - Teal - 12/1 (1995)

This year 2015

Jonny G - Tellina

Ride him Jonny

The local soapy on SABC3, Isidingo, mentioned the Durban July on todays episode and the characters said they going down for the July. One of them mentioned that, The Conglomerate will win while the other said that Legal Eagle and French Navy is her fancy. Hats off to the writers and producers seeing that the soapy is recorded way in advance but every week at least one episode they talk about current events.

Here's my thoughts on the July.

Chance on exposed form: Legal Eagle, Futura, Wylie Hall ,Majmu, French Navy

High Likelihood of improving on exposed form: Majmu, The Conglomerate.

The balance:would have to have to turn in a "highly exceptional" performance to win it.

Legal Eagle has struck me as a horse having "freakish ability" , as did Legislate last year.Only Majmu and The Conglomerate,of the balance, grabs my fancy.

Futura for me. Cover on Majmu.

Seems many have forgotten what a good horse Futura actually is and how well it won the Met. Never mind a third last year in the July. Some say at those weights it's going to be impossible. Shall see come Saturday.

With this weight of money, it's hard seeing this horse getting beaten.

The flip side, the run and deduction rule is in play, so if there is a scratching in the July, we all know who's the first acceptor. Nobody loses the cash, the deduction percentage just gets bigger

Sorry, speaking of Dynamic, 18/10 when I last looked.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.
