Remote control
9 years 11 months ago
The boss, she who must be obeyed, thought that it would make my day by buying a Harmony ultimate remote. It took me weeks to conquer the Sky remote and now this fancy thing has arrived. Why cant we go back to having to get up and physically walk to the TV in order to change the channel? Well you did get a bit of exercise at least. She has already sussed out how it works and I see that the golf has all of a sudden disappeared off the TV. Maybe there is a method in her buying it or is she just sending out a message.

Instead of moaning why not get in your car, drive to st andrews and go watch the golf live and to really piss the boss off take that fancy remote with you, that will teach her!!!! ...
... the downside to this is you may have to do without a drumstick or chicken wing for a week or 2 ....

Have you seen the awful weather? Rather watch the cricket on TV then endure walking around a wind swept Golf course. Tomorrow the start will be delayed again as it's going to come down in buckets overnight.

What "awful weather" @cnc ??
25 degress, blue, cloudless skies, no wind...on the KZN North Coast...and a warm sun that has been out for more than 2 hours now...

You are lucky with the weather tnaicker. Unfortunately there is nothing one can do about it except move to a warmer climate.

thanks tnaicker, you are very kind, and the same to you although playing football in that weather could affect your thinking.

Mate of mine is such a lazy C..nt that he downloaded a universal remote for his android device, so that if he misplaces his remote, he can still control the TV/Dish with his phone.

The Sunday kick-about has been a part of my life for more than 25 years (50 weeks in a year - no match over Christmas and New Year as families use the park so no space to play) ...and we are so used to the "heat" that it doesn't affect us in the least save for summer when the humidity is stifling and you cannot replace fluid lost quickly enough...
We play from about 15h00/15h30 until we cannot see each other with no half time so it's a good 2+ hours workout...in summer we start later...
No matter your age, colour or religion, if you pitch up at the park on Sunday and want to play...you play...so some days its 8 a side and other days it can be as much as 15 a side...keeping track of team-mates can be a problem !!
