"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon' Wednesday 7th May Workings....
17 years 1 month ago
Afternoon.
This afternoon completed then, and went as follows......
The 1st runner we wanted 1.7, and with being around 1.86 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage, we all had to avoid the race. The runner ran a poor race to be fair and was easily beaten, so a case of 'one that got away in hindsight'.......
The 2nd runner we wanted 3.0, and with being that on arrival, we had a lay at 3.0. The price then went for a walk and out to our own price of 3.3 and beyond, so a chance for builders and traders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade came in 2nd after a battling finish, so a good result.....
The 3rd runner we wanted 1.7, and with being around 1.8 on arrival and not coming down to our lay price at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won under a vintage McCoy ride, so a good leave.......
The 4th runner we wanted 1.3, and with being around 1.42 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner came in 2nd, so a surprise result and 'one that got away in hindsight'.......
The 5th runner we wanted 3.3, but a non runner and 17.1% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.91 (2.9 nearest exchange price). The price was around 3.6 on arrival and then dropped down to us and slightly beyond under good support, so we had a lay at 2.9 max. The lay went and won, so the way it goes and the late gamble landed.
The 6th runner we wanted 2.94, and with being a very well supported 1.98 on arrival, we had a lay at 1.98. The lay was beaten, so a good result.......
The 7th and final runner we wanted 1.3, and with being around 1.53 on arrival and then Betfair freezing, we just had to sit and wait for the site to return before we could even think of our price, or better still, go the 'Betdaq'! Over there the price was still too high at around 1.46, and so with switching back and fourth between sites, and not getting our lay price at any stage, it was a race to avoid for all. The runner went and won well, so it was a good leave......
WELL PLAYED/BATTLED........
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Finished levels.............They started their 1st strategy/target on the 2nd runner, and although they/we got off to a good start, we then went a little behind, before recouping the little loss on the 3rd lay (the 6th runner). That left them level with just one potential lay remaining, and so always advised to take the levels and walk with no room at all for error now. So levels for rollers....
'Bank building' strategy/target players started with a 'free' lay (the 2nd runner) that bought a tiny profit........They then had a couple of no play races that left them with an insufficient amount to work with, so they end the session with a tiny profit.....
Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100
'Free' lay bought average/minimum profit £10
Total bank now £410
That's where it ended with running out of enough potential lays left to start a strategy/target.
Overall result. Win 0.1 of a target.

Bank builder 5 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100
'Free' lay bought average/minimum profit £8
Total bank now £408
That's where they ended the session with running out of enough potential lays left to start a strategy/target.
Overall result. Win 0.08 of a target.

Traders had to concede a little on the 5th runner at 2.9 max, but all others see them win a bit, or break level, and so they end either losing a tiny bit, levels, or winning a tiny bit...Good luck with the few this evening guys...
So another quiet day at the office, and a little frustrating we didn't see our prices on a couple of short ones that were beat. Anyhow, that's the game and we play the value, so we'll take the Little win, or levels, and look to tomorrow. No strategy play this evening, so might as well take a chill and enjoy the sun whilst it's around.....Have a good evening guys and speak in the morning...
Marc.

1.45 Chester. SHE'S A SHAW THING (1.86)
Our price Evens (2.0) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.7 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware that she likes to lead, or race very prominently in her races - Also a 'bit' more emphasis has gone on the early markets for clues, concerning this race*
2.15 Chester. SUGAR MINT (2.88)
Our price 23/10 (3.3) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.0 or under.
2.20 Fakenham. RAPSCALLION (1.97)
Our price Evens (2.0) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.7 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware, that although he has a few ways for running, it wouldn't be any surprise at all to see a very prominent display this afternoon*
3.30 Fakenham. OFAREL D'AIRY (1.42)

4.00 Chester. DARAAHEM (3.25)
Our price 13/5 (3.6) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.3 or under. *Please note that a 'little' more emphasis has gone on the early markets for clues, concerning this race*
4.05 Fakenham. THE SLIOTAR (2.
Our price 9/4 (3.25) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 2.94 or under.
4.40 Fakenham. KADOUNT (1.45)
Our price 1/2 (1.5) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.3 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware that he likes to lead, or race very prominently in his races*
All races priced up with non runners taken into account, up until 09:39am.
That's what we have to work on fr this afternoon's session then. Never easy, but we never expect it to be, but we do have enough within our armoury to warrant going into battle, so that's what we'll do. Discipline to the maximum and take advantage of any prices that come our way. Good luck and speak soon with this evening's workings...
