From UK racing post:
Ascot on the agenda for ambitious Tarry
by Michael Clower
LEADING South African trainer Sean Tarry will fly to Britain next week to finalise plans for star sprinter National Colour, who is being aimed at Royal Ascot.
The flying grey, winner of three Grade 1 sprints in 2006, has not raced since chipping a bone in Dubai's Golden Shaheen last year but she is currently stabled in Newmarket.
Tarry said yesterday: “National Colour is being aimed at the King's Stand Stakes although that might come a bit soon in her preparation.
“I will be able to see how close we are when I go over next week, but if she doesn't make Royal Ascot, I'm sure we will go for the Nunthorpe at York.”
Stable companion Mythical Flight also looks like visiting Britain this summer despite flopping when favourite for the Computaform Sprint at Turffontein in Johannesburg on Saturday.
Tarry said: “Mythical Flight has had a few problems after some of his races but this time we found absolutely nothing. It may have been because the jockey took a decision to hold him up after he lost half a length at the start, and that was the wrong thing to do.
“We will just make sure of everything first but I think we will go. We have nothing to prove here.”
