Hey Jess I think they're making changes. Site was also down for a while last night and today I noticed the graphics were looking slightly different. Would've preferred them to be offline for the last 4 KZN meetings though, been getting a down right dusting lately.

Spoke to Johnny from interbet. They had updated the software to accomodate fixed odds place betting but despite successful tests, system problems when they tried to launch it earlier.
Working on it, might be down for some time today.
The interbet guys apologise for the inconvenience and ask for your indulgence today.

Fixed odd place bets should be exciting. They can take their time as long as they get that right.

Don't get too excited though,I doubt there will be great value in the place markets at first.There are in fact very few 'layers' on IB and those that do set the markets are going to do it to make a decent % for themselves too,but maybe in time it will get better.

Until Betfair is allowed in SA the SA punters will continue to be shafted.

JAP im with u on the Betfair story. I have no doubt the bookies use it anyway. All one needs is a UK bank account, not too dificult for the crook sa bookies to organise...
