Twice Grade1 placed and a big future ahead but seemingly suspended for a few months ? Possibly a year ?

Anyone hear why ?

.....surely there must be additional testing done after the presence of abnormal testosterone levels are found.....looking for testosterone as a metabolite of steroid usage has already left egg on the NHRA face when that Romeo Francis mare was found to be producing testosterone.....also if castration is not done correctly in geldings there can be testosterone producing tissue left and can also lead to testosterone being present long after the cut.....

.....a year suspension for an animal over an alleged steroid usage is a bit harsh.....after all the NHRA has been complicit in turning a blind eye to the use of steroids by not taking action until the Godolphin/Al Zarooni debacle in the UK....and rapidly changed their tune to fall in line.....

The Godolphin horses only got 6 months.....but why should the horse and owners be punished if a trainer is the one in charge of its care....the horse should be free of any unauthorized substances within weeks of testing ...yet to keep it out of racing for a year is a big penalty... now the horse has been found guilty ..now what about the case against the trainer...... :S

To me this is harsh for owner and horse, if the horse had injected himself then a fair punishment this is another big negative for trying to get new owners into the game.
It is hard enough trying to pay training and vet fees plus find the correct race etc .......and then this !
