Work-riders meeting notorious for lower turnover and low quality horses- simple fix - run the exact format as Greyville does with appies - run two meetings per month to make up for the workriders losing their full day.

They can also have a best rider compo where the best rider on the day wins a cash prize(both Jockeys and workriders on points to give an overall winner)

The kzn okes where giving away R2000 betting vouchers ! and one of R20k !!!!

I often attend turfontein nite racing and the most i have heard the course announcer call is Mr so and so please collect your R250 betting voucher big difference . Kzn seem more pro active . I hear of a kids zone and happy hour etc etc

another thing they could do is pair a jock with a workrider and they compete like a team for a cash prize - (random draw for pairs)

Would certainly bring in new players. The vibe is awesome and even for the new guy that does not understand the game he wants to lay a bet just because there is excitement pumping all around.

Change is good and these kinda events is needed.
