Just read an article on News24 in which the SAFA president, Danny Jordaan says of Bafana Bafana " the quality of the team cannot be questioned, the quality of South African players cannot be questioned, and many people on the continent say the South African national team, Bafana Bafana, produce the best quality football on this continent. And I think that's a great credit to us".....
I am not sure if he's high or just having a laugh but this is the biggest load of c.ap I've read in a while....this is a man who presides over.... a team who couldn't qualify for the last World Cup and who some say, bought their way into the one before that...a team who last won anything major over twenty years ago....a country who's only had one player playing at the top level in Europe regularly i.e. Pienaar at Everton....a country that fails to fill up its stadiums during the regular football season...a country that thinks beating The Gambia is worth bragging about...a country which is much richer than Ivory Coast who continue to churn out talent ( the latest being a 22 year old bought by Man United for over 660 MILLION rand ).....and yet Jordaan finds it possible to spew such drivel....
