Rain is still coming down big time, Whats the chances of the Gold Cup running on saturday with rain like this predicted until wednesday

Not to put a dampener on things but with the persistent rain expected to continue thru to Wed and good weather forecast for Thursday and Friday only, with showers expected on Sat too, if the racing does go ahead it will be on very sticky ground in cold weather. :(

With the drainage record for the track over the last year i cannot see a grass meeting going ahead on Saturday.

MASSIVE STORMS AND FLOODING IN THE DURBAN AREA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....I'm surprised the grass on track hasn't lifted up and floated away

this rain is worst than when greyville racecourse flooded a while ago, would love to see the water measurements after the storm

I wouldn't hold my breath for Saturdays meeting....might be moved out by a week - well that's if the rain continues

Absolute deluge at about 5.30pm, the streets were flooded, everywhere.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Looks like a repeat of last year. I arrived in durbs on the Friday only found out after landing that it had been cancelled. Hotel refused to refund, but fark, what a weekend :evil:
