Couplings question

Hey guys,

I haven't looked at the ponies for a while now and was just checking up on rules for exotics before I jump in again. Can anyone tell me if couplings apply in the Pick 6 (or anywhere else for that matter)?

From the rules I got off the Saftote site:
2.3.1 "such horses shall be bracketed or coupled on the Totalisator for the Pick 6"
2.3.2 "whenever a bracketed horse wins a race, all the horses in the bracket shall qualify for the purpose of the calculation and payment of Pick 6"

However:
5.10.3 "The bracketing of horses shall not apply to the Pick 6 Pool, unless otherwise specified"

Am I correct in thinking that couplings DO apply in the Pick 6, but not in JP, PA, Bipot etc.?

couplings do not apply for any exotics.
