Although many readers that are planning to go on Saturday will stumble up the esculators and slip into a Box and have a great time.

What are your opinions if you are Mr Joe Public his Wife and two Children or guests .
Lets not forget we want to put on a show to bring them back next Saturday .

Entrance Fee – R75.00 – It is a sponsored day everyone pays entrance fee including RA members
Summer Vanity Fair Area – R 150 – Not sure what is Included
Summer Festival Area – R250 – Not sure what is Included
Bollywood Racing Experience Area – R 350 – Not sure what is Included
Its a Rush Summer Garden Area – R 395.00 – Not Sure what is included
Furious Room – R 750
The Deck – R 1 250
Furious Room – R 1400

Please do not compare the July to the The Met to the The Summer Cup.
It would be trying to compare a Banana to a Strawberry to a Lemon.
We wont even go to Queens Plate day my favourite as that would be a Fruit salad

Why not compare ?

Summer Cup is a major Raceday, sure i read that the R75 includes a R30 betting voucher?

Sure on these big days its the expensive seats that sell out?

It`s hard for me to understand the uproar at entrance fees when in Scotland we pay R500 at the gate for a Tuesday at Musselburgh

Imo prices for all major race days are a rip-off (and the Summer Cup is still cheaper than most) - charge an entrance fee if you must (as at least you get to see 'better' racing than on other 'normal' days - but please I do not need to pay hundreds (thousands?) just to be able to mingle with the 'in' crowd - all I need is a place to sit and to be served a decent meal / drinks at the same prices I would be paying on normal days  And offer those that need a 'special' meal the opportunity to do so at extra cost - but cater for the 'usuals' first

No Up roar - Lets have a conversation - Pay R75 get back R30 not a bad deal.

When you have done the SA Circuit you can then compare - For those that have not you cant truthfully compare the experience,

We want to know How Mr Joe Public a first or second time visitor feels - What are his expections when he comes as far as value for money. And will be come back next Saturday to a normal day with this Family or will he leave them alone. Remember we are trying to get people back to the Race Course.

Welcome Warren and thanks for post , not sure what it costs for a rugby or football match here but it's a long day racing (especially if your chasing ) and I understand lots of other events taking place to keep the crowd busy so I think fair
Plus running a box etc is not a cheap event either for normal punters

Good punting

Surely all RA owners will get in for free? I am sure they do not pay
