(Not commenting on whether the 2m cutoff is good or not, his 73% ticket would've ensured a much lower actual dividend on the tote, but also the pools would've been larger if everyone played on the tote) .

He did win 51% of the payout. The problem would have arose if he won anything more than 60% of the R2.87 million as his payout would have exceeded the R2 million threshold. Hollywood Open Bets terms and conditions is a must read as you can be limited especially for foreign meetings or where the pools are small.

the total pool on saturday was 5.5m there was 1.93 winners with the payout being 2.87m...

We do not limit the Dividend that is declared. He therefore won just shy of 51% of the total payout been R 2.87 Million and did not exceed the max Pick 6 winnings of R 2 Million.
