I was just looking at that .... but Winning Form has 10 wins from 22 rides. That is still a 45% win strike rate.

We all know fourie is a top rider ..but am I wrong when comparing cheyne as the opposite ..cos he was on kotzens favorites and alot got beaten ...and then compare alan greef ..had many winners with fortune then when cheyne gets back then again rate is dropped ...but looking at jocks log,cheyne is top ...wont last long imo...cheyne the new king karl I guess

To be fair on any jockey, he is not the one who prices up and makes his mount favourite. The odds are diminished if a (for example) Marcus, Strydom rides a horse with a moderate formline. There is no "true" value/odds. No disrespect to other jockeys, but put a lesser fancied jockey up on the same horse, and you'd probably get 5/1 or better. Think you get the gist of what I'm trying to get at.

I always say, price up yourself, and then compare with the bookies markets. After all, it's just an opinion and you'd probably back horses at better odds, or not back certain horses because in your opinion the are the incorrect price (too short that is). Give it a go and see how you go.

hmmmm 30% favourites win on a national average, its the biggest way to the poor house(punting favourites, because they are favourite)

Cheyne can get the job done as good as any rider, like Fortune he doesn`t kill a horse in the finish
