If anyone watch the live feed, please fill us in on what the panel thoughts were regards race 8, the Derby, thanks.
All liked horizon, unsure table bay stays, edict working better than his gallop. Crawford mentioned he has seen elevated working well. Think that was the gist of it.

On 1 hand favourites look unbeatable,on the other big fields mean big upsets..... what to do??? Appreciate the comments from the panel and will note down what they have given but for Pete sake guys don't discard your own selections... a lot of us have started studying this card since it was released on Friday and some of us even have our own fancies that have ran throughout the Cape season...

well said.i didn't enjoy that discussion at all.everything that was said was plain for all to see.bloomberg gave his selections and he was strong on quite a few horses.i know come saturday there will be many surprises and all the form studiers will be shaking there heads when we get an upset or 2.I know that the Snaith stable will win at least 4 races on the day(LAST YEAR THEY WON 8),which ones i don't know.

I will be putting It's my turn into my exotics because last year this horse won the derby,it ran 4th in the july as a 3yr old,is having its 3rd run after a rest and has striker on top who was also on top in his derby win a year ago.

By the way Bloomberg gave Ovidio as his bet bet on the card, fancied Silver Mountain strong(with only danger star express) and dutch philips in race 2 as his best bets on the card.the met he made a race among the top 3 in betting and in race 5 he fancied the fav.i don't know about the derby because tt didn't show that race being previewed,

Actually felt Knowles missed a trick at the end of the show by not putting each speaker on the spot on what they felt is their best winning chance for the trainers, ride for Fourie, and Bloomberg sort of leaned towards Ovidio.

You've got the industry experts in front of you and you don't pop the question :(
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Candice admitted that Horizon is her best runner on the day. All of Richard, Bloomberg and Brett tipped Horizon as the best horse ad he is improving day by day. However a sneaky horse could be Elevated.

Race 1, Bloomberg did say that he had backed Zud Wes at 10/1.

Some non-malicious criticisms for the producer of the show. It was too long which started to become boring. And even more boring was Parx racing. Shows like this do not need to start from race 1 and end at race 13. Firstly, start with the Met which is what we really want to see. Then, discuss the Grade 1's. Then for those presenters who want to, let them go home. If anyone remains then discuss the balance of the card in race status order. Candice was the victim of a bumper bashing so couldn't have been a happy chappy.

hi all

Got up in the wee hours of this morning to watch a repeat, the Derby was definately omitted.

congrats to CBR on her first appearance on a major events panel, unfortunate about her accident.so much tension there.

I waited patiently for the 11th race, unsure if i missed it,but i dont recall any comments from RFoure on his mount.

didnt RF sound bullish about his mount in the 3rd(no 19)?
