Race 1 - Candice - Rodney and Zud wes.
Zud wes is probably stable elect, better suited to 1200m. Well-weighted, a big runner.
Robert Bloomberg - Zud wes - nice EW bet, would be his first choice, wide opened race tho
Brett - Orion, not soundest, must be respected, open race. Never settle has a chance at the weights
Fourie - open race

Race 2 - Robert Bloomberg - 2 horse race, dutch philip and namibia, lotsa of money for kasimir but has to be a champion to win here.
Candice - dutch philip - hard horse to beat
Fourie - dutch philip, has to be respected, horse to beat.
Call to account - big filly, a lil green first time out, dillon won't ride if no chance?
Fourie expects fields to crowd on the outside of course
Brett - feeling lucky - back end of quartets,
Klopp needs further

Race 3 - Brett - bold respect - big runner
Fourie - happy with his mount Gold image, versatile, expecting big run, add sir frenchie, bold respect. Captain my captain.
Candice - Big mistake - better suited to 1000m,
Has ability, bernie, 2nd to sir frenchie, fit and well, hopeful.
Robert Bloomberg - Gold image if stays, wins, danger barack street and wonderwall must be respected.

Race 4 - Candice - live life, beat carry on alice WFA terms, on that form, a runner.
Robert Bloomberg - sergeant hardy, tough to beat, value elusive path.
Fourie - sergeant hardy good form, elusive path always in charge, live life, cloth of cloud must be respected

Race 5 - Robert Bloomberg - William longsword tough to beat, safe harbour, just sensual
Fourie - african night sky - good draw, value, william longsword one to beat but not convinced. Singapore sling and safe harbour value
Brett - safe harbour must be respected

Race 6 - Brett - gulf storm - blinkers back on to sharpen, tough race, search party space for improvement, 1000m better suited, respect red ray and trip to heaven.
Candice - Tevez, consistent, back to 1000m, good value, trip to heaven one to beat, red ray
Robert Bloomberg - Carry on alice false favorite, red ray 1000m might be sharp. Trip to heaven first choice. tevez coming into form, search party a runner over 1000, riverine not sure
Fourie - Jo's bond - tough. Carry on alice false fav. Riverine a chance, search party and gulf storm big runners. Trip to heaven loses lengths at start but still got a chance.

Race 7 - Candice - silver mountain - bad draw, hoping to get a run in from that draw.
Nightingale don't discount, a mile touch on the sharp side, open race.
Fourie - final judgment - good draw, last time 1800 a bit too far, star express last run was below average, better than that. Lady of the house, good draw, big runner. Goodtime gal from the draw, hopes for a better ride from gavin
Brett - lady of the house - a runner based on the fillies guineas run behind just sensual . Silver mountain to beat, captains flame nice value.
Robert Bloomberg - silver mountain definitely the one to beat, draw not a worry down the long straight, star express the danger.

Race 8 - parx racing, they skipped this race

Race 9 - Fourie - Gold standard - with 52, should be a factor. Thinks this horse is special.
Brett - captain America ultra consistant nice value, whisky baron has improved massively, good prep, legal eagle the one to beat.
Candice - Marinaresco - given a impossible chance in the queens plate, good draw, good chance. Legal eagle and whisky baron has to be respected
Robert Bloomberg - legal eagle 10f shouldn't be a problem, marinaresco given too much to do last 2 starts. Hopefully a better ride from jock. Whisky baron most improved horse receives 4 pounds from marinaresco, should be closer from that winter guineas run. French navy place chance. Gold standard won't be easy.

Race 10 - Robert Bloomberg - Ovidio has field stone cold, danger helderberg blue.
Candice - helderberg blue - not the best prep, can't be confident.
Fourie - zaafira should be fit and should stay, helderberg blue and ovidio
Brett - Ovidio

Race 11 - Fourie - Fifty cents big runner and brilliant crimson based on last run against group 1 horses, lineker value.
Brett - Union jack doin well at home, include in everything, winter prince e/w
Candice - brilliant crimson - better horse around the turn and mile, has a chance, fifty cents to beat but open race.
Robert Bloomberg - favours Lineker and union jack based on the william longsword run. Brilliant crimson a big runner over the mile

Race 12 - Brett - Louisiana - good run expected
Fourie - silvan star will see out the distance, gitano line thru last run. Louisiana done nothing wrong, second to epona, dark horse nima
Robert Bloomberg - louisiana, silvan star, skip a beat on epona formline, gitano nice value e/w

Race - 13 - Candice - Kryptonite - consistant, 1400 better distance, open race.
Brett - open race but leisure trip, califonia girl a chance
Fourie - trippis girl - elusive path formline not disgraced. Tough task but not out of it, lovely rita nice filly, good draw, minor placings
Robert Bloomberg - trippis girl and leisure trip one to beat

Well done DC - If I may just fill in the gap about the Derby Race 8 - I watched it via Live streaming and it was discussed so will try remember everything .

Candice - Horizon - Probably one of their best runners on the day. Had a great gallop with Marianaresco . However coltish and is a heavy horse so she hopes he behaves on the day. Also says don't leave out Olivander out of quartets , improving horse and will be better in six months time.

Robert - Makes Horizon a good thing and thinks will start in the red. Cat believe the betting with the terrible gallop of Edict of Nandes at 33/10 would not take places on E O N . Marcus was down to ride E O N but after the gallop jumped off and went to Table Bay. He is not convienced that Table Bay will see a mile never mind the 2000m

Brett :- Could not believe the gallop of E O N and has done a lot of work at home . Body language showed he just wants to put that behind him and is confident of a good run , happy to have Frankie riding . Says he has been watching Elevated at track and is coming along the right way and not one to be left out .

Richard :- Said he thinks that if Corne had worked E O N he would not have had the bad work out that he did. He has ridden him and he is way better than that. He likes Horizon , E O N and Elevated .

That's the basics of what I can remember .

Did anyone attend the discussion at Kenilworth where Justin Snaith and Darryl (2cents) Maree gave their fancies?

It will be great to know what they fancied!

OMW....Aldo Domeyer is riding Captains Flame, and he obviously rides her at work....and Nico Interrupted him to inform him that"BTW the stable rates her very highly"......Aldo couldn't believe his ears and asked him to repeat himself!
Only Nico could make a statement like that to a stable jockey LMFAO!!!

I missed the panel discussion featuring Darryll Maree - is there anyone that could maybe summarize his views on the day - also did the Snaith stable comment on their runners?

I did not watch the entire show but if this helps, ALDO says if the punters are having a rough day you can make your money back by having a punt on his mount SKIP A BEAT in race 12

i watched from the 4th race.aldo liked always in charge, the rest like sgt hardy, cloth of cloud.
r5 vee said williamlongsword is a banker and look no further.rambled on abt ratings and said this horse should be rated 116-118.maree liked singapore sling as an e/w rather than taking 11/10 on the fav.justin liked his horse african night sky and said this horse will be a big runner.safe harbour was also liked by the panel.

r6 trip to heaven was fancied by all but mention was made of others like red ray, carry on alice and vee liked the azzie horse, altho the horse was bitten by a spider so had interrupted prep.

r7vee like the 3yr olds 15 & 16,aldo like the fav to win, justin liked his horse star express and maree like justin's horse, and the fav.

r8 aldo said horizon best bet on the card, maree liked edict of nantes and trying to beat the fav, justin said his brother made horizon best bet on the card, his horse can't recapture his 2yr old form and vee liked the fav and e o nantes.

the met aldo strong on marinaresco, maree legal eagle and its my turn, vee the 3yr old, justin leagal eagle and 2 of his 3 horses.

r10 ovidio at the weights and aldo liked his mount krambambuli to run a big race, confirmed by justin

r11 open race mention made of 50 cents, lineker, overshadow and brilliant crimson

r12 aldo like g v niekerks mount, skip a beat to run a big race, vee liked the 3yr old,the high life and justin fancied his horse fear not with the appie on

r13 aldo liked leisure trip and he will be trying his best to ride a winner on the card, maree liked gimme 6 and liked it strong to win,vee liked 2 horses, trippis girl and leisure trip.justin mentioned twinkle toes if he could find a suitable jock.

it was tough to watch this show with all the interruptions from wolves and american racing and i was also watching man utd lose to hull, but progress to the final,so i may have some mistakes in my recollection, but that was the gist of what i can remember.

The other day I heard Neil Maurice qoute some stats supporting why he would go for the 3yr old Gold Standard.
Last night Vee repeated them (so we know where they came from)
I know some people love stats ( I am one ) but just a word of warning to anybody who is thinking of rushing out to back it ,based on those stats.
Vee says ,since 1999, 3 horses have run in the Met and 2 have won ...strike rate 67%!
What he doesn't say is when Horse Chestnut won it in 1999 ,it was the first 3 yr old in over 50 years to win it. The next year, another 3 yr old Badgers Coast also won it.
So ,the stats also say
a)only 2 3yr old winners in 70 years
b)no 3 yr old has won it since 2000
c)only MdK has managed it in those 70 years!!!!
Just another angle on the same stats.

Rob, its better to analyse how many 3yo's have run in the Met for the last 20 to 25 and take it from there. As you say before Horse Chestnut it was quite awhile back but how many 3yos ran during that time.

Off my head Gimmethegreenlight and Run For It both ran third in the Met and this was within the last decade.
