For me i'm having a positive strike on two horses - TWO BROTHERS- last only got into a racing frame over the final 400m.. flew late.. not the best draw but the best Jock in the Cape.
STRAAT-KIND - unkind name that does not roll of the tongue - on first introduction seems a horse with talent - should dispose of these but I'd try to find evens or better

All eyes on Turffontein, but some interesting racing in sunny CT
Race 1: Kashmir looks hard to beat on good debut run but very short price. Very open for the places. A nice roughy is Christiano.
Race 2: Lily li Lay does not have to be a star to beat this lot and give Nel another debut winner. Little to choose between 1,2,3. Scorpion Queen was disappointing second start after a promising debut, but could be the right one here.
Race 3: Cossack Guard has solid form and must go into all perms. If he is again to find one better, then my pick would be Quickfire. Sirenne Fort should also show significant improvement with a run under the belt.
Race 4: We have Elusive Singer here. He is well and better than last run, but bumps a strong field. Straat kind won well on debut and has been kindly treated by the handicapper and should win again. Moonrise Sensation should bounce back to best after the gelding and must be included.

Race 5: We have Step Out running in a very open fillies handicap. She cracks a plum draw and has the services of Fourie. We expect a good run, and on breeding should have no problem with the longer trip. You can make a case for every runner.
Race 6: We have another decent runner in Sylvan Star. She also draws well, and is proven over the trip. Also a very competitive race, and she will have to improve on her rating to win against some well weighted opposition. Jetano showed a return to form last time and will again go close. Mulher de Branco has come down in the ratings and is well in here. Galla Placidia is very well in with the appie allowance. Skip a Beat has solid recent form.
Race 7: Candid should enjoy this trip and is the one to beat in an open race. Gyre is consistent, but the improving Loadshedder has done nothing wrong and must be respected. Larimar and In the Jungle are well in at the weights.
Race 8: Two Brothers has a wide draw to contend with, but is an improving sort and is my selection. River Cam won't be far off. Oval Office also has a poor draw, but is capable of winning. Savuti has useful form but also a wide draw. Piracy did not show the expected improvement second run, but could pop up.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Is it just me that think the camera man is standing in the antartic in the middle of winter with a vest on? Not a very good picture at all.....
