Epsom's famous hill rebranded "Poundland Hill"

The famous Hill in the middle of Epsom racecourse, from where generations have watched the Derby for free, will be rebranded as Poundland Hill as part of a new sponsorship deal between Epsom and Investec.

Investec was an adviser to the South African firm Steinhoff International when it bought the Poundland chain of discount stores in September 2016 and Markus Jooste, Steinhoff’s CEO, is a leading racehorse owner in South Africa.

I have taken my dog for walks at the track. Its amazing when you stand at the 5 furlong start and look down the straight. Its no wonder that the runners in the 5 furlong sprint appear to be flying.
