"Group" RESULTS - 'Evening' Tuesday 17th June Workings..
17 years 3 days ago
Evening,
This evening completed and went as follows..
The 1st runner we wanted 2.32 and with getting around 2.18 on arrival and shortening, we had a lay at 2.18 max. The lay went and won, so the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it....
The 2nd runner we wanted 3.3 and with being around 3.05 on arrival, we had a lay at around 3.05. The lay was beaten and so a good result......
The 3rd runner we wanted 2.1, but a non runner and 11.2% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 1.98. The price was around 2.2 on arrival and never came down to us at any stage, so a race to avoid for all. The runner went and won, so a good leave....
The 4th runner we wanted 1.6 and with being around 1.71 on arrival and then dropping down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 1.6 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result.......
The 5th runner we wanted 2.7, but a non runner and 9.1% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.55. There was then another withdrawal and further 3.1% reduction and so now we wanted a lay price of 2.5. The price then came down to us and slightly beyond, so we had a lay at 2.5 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result.....
The 6th runner we wanted 2.0 and with drifting to around 2.24 on arrival and then dropping back down to us, we had a lay at 2.0. The lay went and won, so the way it goes...
The 7th runner we wanted 1.46 and with being around 1.51 on arrival and then dropping down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 1.46 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result.....
WELL PLAYED....
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Won 1 target..........They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner and although they got off to a bad start, they then dug in and hit their targets on their 4th lay (the 5th runner) and so good stuff..
'Bank building' strategy/target players had their 1st lay (the 1st runner) at 2.18, but a poor result see them go behind early........They then had their 2nd lay (the 2nd runner) at 3.05 and a good result see them claw a bit back.........Then came their 3rd lay (the 4th runner) at 1.6 and a good result see 4 runner builders break level and walk away with just one potential lay left and no room at all for error......
5 runner builders played on and went to their 4th lay (the 5th runner) at 2.5, and a good result see them hit their targets...

Traders had to concede a little on the 6th runner at 2.0 max, but all others see them win a bit or break level and so they end levels or win a little...
So it went quite well considering how tricky it looked and with breaking level or hitting the targets, it was a decent effort. Speak in the morning..
Marc.
