Race 1: Klawerkate appeals most - cover page is also a contestant
Race 2: I cannot really seperate Barbarella Nights and Harvey Spector on form, slight preference for Barbarella Nights.
Race 3: Two similarly profiled horses in Cristian and Irish. along with a host of others in with a chance Highland Captain has had a decent run LTO, Mr Mguire, Ricketee - Cezar Ritz makes some appeal.
Race 4: Giovanna will make a gallant effort to follow up here, and might find some stiff opposition from Zaida, and Just Lucky, Veeipee Club must also be respected.
Race 5: The race looks deceptively straight forward with minds eye and hot toddy looking the obvious - I am looking towards Peach Valley , and it's stable companion van dams force though, with Ruby Duchess right up there as well.

Race 5: Peach Valley, Van Dams Force, Ruby Duchess

That's as Far as I could get - Will start off with a Punt on Klawerkate , if that pays off I might consider a 1/2 chance on Giovanna, and if that comes in I would take a shot in the dark on Van Dam's force -- will stop wagering after the the first negative result.

A very interesting card, looking at the form of the new arrivals from the Cape does appear very appealing as there have been multiples winners from the collateral form of HARVEY SPECTATOR and MR McGUIRE. The latest being SUNDAY FALLS who won race 4 @ Durbanville on Tuesday. Both are around 9/2 and surely will go close at this venue. The real value for me is in race 4 today, NO 11 ZAIDA with the blinkers strike is exceptional value @ 12/1 and a decent 2/1 place seems a surefire bet.

Bit sad, I see reason for the scratching in race two is "deceased" shame condolences to those involved.
