back in the day they had a flag man standing abour 150m in front of the stalls...never had this prob ever...

Would the logical conclusion have been to scratch the favourite and first timer and let the result stand as none of the jocks who rode heard anything?feel for the owners trainers etc of the first 4 past the post and me as well who had his first winning bet since ferguson coached man united

My mate Big Al was the flagman at the Vaal he could not run fast enough so would have to stand his ground
