Double :-
R1) Pata Pata X (R7) Gimme Six
Gimme Six should be hard to beat off that rating, weight and draw.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Bit of a storm tonight so going should be less firm than recently.
Race 1: Pata Pata looks the right one but short price. It's worth noting that Moonlight Dancer two good runs were in yielding going. Quarllo usually thereabouts. Arabian Song improved last time.
Race 2: This is a. breeders dream race with some beautifully bred fillies. I'm in the camp of Vase to follow up on her good debut and win this. Vice Versa and Looking at Stars out of top broodmares. Perfectproportions is a full sister to Vercingetorix and should improve on a moderate debut. Omega Force has good form and is the main danger to my selection.
Race 3::Doyle's put up a good debut and is the one to beat. Jailhouse Rock and What a Joker good last runs and should be in the shakeup. Proud Dynasty well tried but best of the older horses.
Race 4: Sommersonne is my selection, main danger is Snow Crystal. Pumpkin Queen, Blue Rhone Sky and Travel in Style include in quartets.
Race 5 Open race. Talk of the Town has most scope for improvement.
Race 6: Ready Steady Go impressive debut and has been kindly treated by the handicapper. If he doesn't win then anything.
Race 7: Many of these fillies and mares will be aiming for the Paddock Stakes and most are returning from breaks. Silvan Star has to give 4 and 6 kg to classy opponents and has an impossible job at the weights. She has matured into a lovely mare but I will be amazed if she can place at these weights. Goodtime Gal is racing fit but is similarly out at the weights.Lady of the House and Safe Harbour are very well weighted. Not much between Gimme Six, Nightingale and Star Express, and the former ran a good race in the Diana so should be fitter than the others. Captain Gambler is also well weighted.
Race 8: Another very open race unless Tsitsikamma Dancer can step up after her good maiden win.

Could only get this ffar
Race 1: Pata Pata is all the rage here – and should suffice for favourite backers. There are a few that could upset the works here. First of which is La Mer – absolute no market support early on, Quarllo – Perhaps it will be his day today. Arabian Song could improve,.
Race 2: A few well reputed individuals here. While the market is all for Vase – I much prefer the Snaith runner Omega Force. I have also noted the Kotzen first timer and and the Crawford First Timers for any sign of support. Vase cannot be discounted on good debut – but would need Omega Force to be found flat on the day , after good run to Velvet Dawn.
Race 3: Initially was attracted to Doyle’s off a good debut run, and should improve – however I found myself having a closer look at Proud Dynasty – a dissapointing R725,000 purchase. First run out for the new stable was – in hindsight not disgraced 3.05L behind Rocket Countdown , G2 Winner next out. I feel that this one will make good today.
Race 1: La Mer (If any market support) otherwise Quarrlo -- purely opposing the favourite for value.
Race 2: Omega Force
Race 3: Proud Dynasty (Potentially may not like softer ground though)

I was going to have a full go at Kenilworth today but with the unseason (but very welcome!) rains of the last two days (raining now as I type) I think that it will make the going a bit sticky, which could affect performances

Good thinking -- I will also not get involved today for the same reason.
