and I'm not being funny either about the bullets (although I'm sad)

but the herd cannot absorb such a vast amount of animals and continue feeding them.

So unless they can secure funding from stashes something drastic needs to be done.

We are losing owners hand over fist in the game. We cannot simply just take on another 1250 horses.

After the share bloodbath, the future does not bode well for the employees of Pep and Ackermans. The employees at the bottom will be the first to go in any restructuring process. How many thousands will be affected? Let us not be selfish and think of horses only, there also the human element involved due to one man's vanity if true. This excludes their employees of other brands like Tekkie Town, etc.

They should start culling from the top as it seems insane that only one man knew what was going on - each top guy that goes could save 30 or more innocent workers

Muthi

now you understanding......finally I'm getting through to your left wing pardoning mentality

YES OUT for ever from our sport.

If you don't think there is an imbalance then you are truly delusional. AND since you a man of NATURE you will know that imbalances need to be addressed OR should we look for another sugar daddy to take over the 1250 horses. Perhaps someone that runs another conglomerate that is well liked and then in 10 years time instead of 1250 we can talk about 5000 horses and 180 000 jobs

and your little jibe at armscor is typical .... you like to know you safe and sound. YET it was armscor that produced many of the weapons that took on the mighty russians on the border of Angola many years ago......but i get it you forgive and forget

pathetic attempt at justification. YOU should be grateful Armscor exists.

......I am more aware than most of the situation.... and yes there will be bullets.....but the NHRA must act and set up a stakes trust as suggested to stop Jooste from pocketing stakes and not paying bills and start making a plan to avoid a total catastrophe....I have already said that the Jooste Ooops .....will set this industry back 30 years.....including future sales as a horse average value at sale in the next year will be under R20K a pop.....

.....their bullets are kak.....too many misfires on the range.....I prefer to use imports from Scandie countries and the Israeli ammo not bad either.....you have me confused with some other bunny hugger.....still live in Africa cant afford to have a misfire when blazing from an 18 shot clip....but better still is the long gun.....can take out a 2 rand coin at 800m....but I wont be shooting any horses....

Squeaky time could be very soon.

m.news24.com/SouthAfrica/News/ppf-to-lay...us-jooste-20171209-2

PPF to lay criminal charges against Steinhoff’s Markus Jooste

Cape Town - The Progressive Professionals Forum (PPF) is expected to lay criminal charges against former CEO of Steinhoff International Markus Jooste, at the Stellenbosch police station, in the Western Cape on Saturday.

Jooste resigned late on Tuesday evening as CEO of the global retail group with immediate effect amid an investigation into accounting irregularities.

In August, German business magazine Manager-Magazin reported that Jooste was among four employees being investigated by German prosecutors in connection with a 2015 case tied to possible accounting fraud.

As a result, Steinhoff's share price took a beating. The PPF has called on the Public Investment Corporation, the Minister of Finance Malusi Gigaba, South African Revenue Service (SARS) and Minister Faith Muthambi to do the following:

- Approach the Hawks' division of serious commercial crime offences to investigate the 6 chartered accountants on the Steinhoff board of directors

- Report the matter to The Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors (IRBA) and engage in appropriate processes to declare these directors delinquent.

- Gigaba to investigate the possible violation of financial regulatory provisions by the PIC,SARS and the auditors, Deloitte, that audited Steinhoff financial reports for 2015/ 2016 and report them to their council or association and the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors (IRBA).

PPF spokesperson Phapano Phasha said failure to sanction an investigation by Gigaba could see him being reported to the Public Protector for dereliction of duty.

Phasha said the forum would also write a report to the Public Protector requesting an enquiry into asset management companies sub-contracted by the PIC.
