Marie Antoinette x Mister Colin double

Elusive Silva on the nose.

Elusive Silva runs very well fresh and remember was the July fav before being scratched after the gallops.

Race 1: I don’t understand why more trainers don’t enter these races- decent prize money and much softer to win. Snaith pair The Boston Rose and Love of India to fight it out with Rebels Burst third.
Race 2: Don’t know anything about the first timers. Be Yourself decent debut and must be the one to beat. Carioca also good debut and must be a runner with normal improvement. Go the Distance just behind her last time and again likely to be little between these two. These three should be enough for the bipot unless serious support for one of the unraced.
Race 3: Snaith very bullish on Mr Colin so must be respected, but I think this race is wide open. The lurker is Paddington- he lost his way after looking quite promising but must be a runner off a lowly 64 rating.
Race 4: Master’s Eye looks the right one and a possible P6 banker. Dangers are Our Emperor and Captain Splendid. Although it’s a small field , My World usually goes a decent pace so a good chance of an honest pace.
Race 5: Another Very open race. my first choice is Olivander- he ran a good race last time although one has to be careful with that form as Milton and Opera Royal were in their own race up front, while the balance of the field went too slow early and then sprinted home. The Kannemeyer pair The Slade and Mambo Mine look very well in and either could win this. Eyes Wide Open and Our Mate Art are classy sorts who must be respected.
Race 6: Nother Russia is the one to beat. Nightingale looks the best of the CT runners and her prep appears spot on. The three year fillies are starting to look like a very decent crop, and all three of Oh Susanna, Lady in Black and Fresnaye could pop up. Our mare Silvan Star was kept in training after her good win in the Final Fling Stakes to target this race. Her comeback run when out at the weights and needing the run was superb. Unfortunately she was sore after that run, and she missed her second prep in the Victress Stakes, so she is coming in here off an interrupted prep and a wide draw. At her best she is capable of winning. Goodtime Gal is honest but maybe best over shorter. Star Express has regained form at the right time and is decent.
Race 7: Legal Eagle my banker - can’t fault him over 1600m. Gold Standard is coming to hand at the right time and could give him the most to do. Captain America is an honest performer and will again be in the money. Marinaresco will be flying late but Iprefer him over further. Hat Putano can’t be ignored. Demo Juvente’s last run was a shocker so I can’t have him.
Race 8: Very open- go wide in exotics. I liked Opera Royals effort last time and I make him a weak first pick at the weights.

Another great card at Kenilworth today. They certainly know how to put on a Festival it appears. If I lived there I'd certainly visit.

Pretty sure there's some 66/1 shots lurking in there somewhere. :P

Snaith runners comments for L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate Saturday:

Love Of India (1): huge runner and one to beat. Worth a bet. ???

Silver League (1): outside place chance only.

The Boston Rose (1): if anything does beat Love of India it could be The Boston Rose. She will be right in the shakeup.

Doubled Over (2): place chance.

Without Limits (2): should need her first run.

Mister Colin (3): Very Strong runner and will take some beating. Worth a good bet. ??

Captain Splendid (4): doing fairly well and include in pick 6.

Master's Eye (4): slightly preferred runner. Will be right in the firing line. ?

Ovidio (4): include in pick 6.

Black Arthur (5): doing really well. Include in pick 6. Could surprise.

Elusive Silva (5): coming back from a long rest but is a class act. Great odds so go win and place on this one. ???

Krambambuli (5): just a prep run for Met day and others preferred.

Platinum Prince (5): off form of late and needs to improve.

Turbulent Air (5)
Scratched

Gimme Six (6): really happy with her work and she will go close. Include in everything. She will be right there. ?

Star Express (6): surprised last time out in Strong company. Include in pick 6.

African Night Sky (7): hard to beat Legal Eagle but this horse has class and could be the one to cause an upset. Win and place. ???

Copper Force (7): much better than his last run and will improve.

Fifty Cents (7): going for 3 a row but has it all to do against SA’s finest thoroughbreds.

It Is Written (7): he May battle in this class.

Doublemint (8): very open race and anything can win. Include in pick 6.

Cuban Emerald (9): include in pick 6.

This cannot be reiterated enough. They deserve all the success they get. Some trainers can learn a lot from them.
