Hi Louisg, thanks for input., but how any horse can drop 9 points in 2 runs is unfathomable. He was dropped 5 points for running 3rd in a final prep run towards the CTS race, behind a horse that beat Snowdance. If that is a showing of a horse on the downgrade then i don't know anything about this game.A 4.5 length behind top racehorse Tap O ' North (MR 106) is not a sign either that she is on the downgrade. The Guineas race you can draw a line through( bumped continuously and drawn in Kimberley). Does multiple placing in Grade 1, 2 and 3 only 4 runs ago count for nothing? Which ever way you look at it Dynamic Diana and Rings and Things don't warrant inclusion before my filly . Maybe just maybe if my filly was owned by more fashionable owners , she would of been a definate inclusion .Just saying

reminds me of Black Arthur getting into the July - I just can't understand why there are not hard and fast rules in place for feature races - Why should a panel have the final say - Or should we just throw the MR system(or any rating system ) out the window and allow the panel to dictate fields - Do they want controversy or do they want their ego's boosted by taking control - If you force the issue and make entrants the highest MR over the distance, or as close to it, you will find trainers will have to keep their horses consistent and not give them prep runs which can only help the form book ! Or with a race like this have three trial races over the distance, one in each of the three big jurisdictions, 2 months before this race - Make them 300k each and first 2 guaranteed a place

Excuse me please

The field is supposed to be chosen by the operator.

The operator in this instance is Kenilworth Racing. It is not Phumelela.

Vee Moodley and Jay Harilal are emoyees of Phumelela and not Kenilworth Racing.

I would be first in line in a court case against the NHA for allowing this disgrace to occur and to get the NHA to compel Kenilworth Racing to set aside the field and chose another field.

Dear Dr. Bakos

We acknowledge receipt of your letter dated 19 January 2017 regarding the final field of the CTS 1600 race. It is understandable that such a prestigious, high value race would attract maximum entries. It is unfortunate that not all entries can be accommodated.

In respect to your queries, we would like to highlight the conditions of entry to this race. These conditions clearly state that the final field will be determined by a panel appointed by the racing operator. This panel debated every entry and decided upon the best possible final field. With respect to Rockin' Russian, the panel acknowledges her strong juvenile form that included graded race placings. Unfortunately her three year old form has proven disappointing, and it is this panels belief that on current form, she does not justify a place in the race.

You have queried how a filly Rings and Things could secure a run before your filly did. Rings and things finished 9.55 lengths behind Snowdance in the Fillies Guineas on 2 December 2016, your filly filly finished a further 5,65 lengths behind Rings and Things at level weights. The handicappers are of the opinion that over the same course and distance on race day, your filly would have no chance of reversing that form, and hence Rings and Things was preferred to your horse.

We trust that this matter is now finalised.

Yours Sincerely

WEIRE ALLDOOSES

You are wasting your time big brass. No one will admit that they fucked up and Larry will not be able to change a field particularly since the books are already out. You are correct in one aspect, if you had a more profile surname you would be in the field.

I think the clowns in the panel must ensure my MR is immediately dropped to a 83, since the 84 got in before mine , or scrap the MR because obviously it means nothing to Vee Moodley

He has Sean Tarry as his trainer.

How hard has Mr Tarry tried to get you answers?

No need to now have a go at Sean. You are obviously a hater of racing at a very advanced level. Thats your prerogative.

There is NOTHING that anyone can do, whether they wanted to or not. The decision has been made. The books are out.The reason why Sean is a Champion Trainer is because he does not flog dead horses....

In EVERY Feature race which is oversubscribed and where a panel is involved,
there will be people unhappy at being excluded. Thats a fact of life.

If the field were decided only on MR, then the lower rated ones excluded would immediately have a gripe on the basis that their horse is on the way up whilst the one rated higher is actually on the way down and not running to its current higher rating.

Then those of us who are bitter with racing would all have a full go and criticise them for not using a panel....or using a panel...or making a decision...or making no decision....

Of course, on ABC there will always be good sound opinions on all issues. These are good and often extremely thought provoking.

Bollocks Louisg, my filly earned her MR and thats the end of it, let the cowards on the panel have the decency to reply the numerous emais, phone calls and messages to explain to me and Sean Tarry how and why they think our filly is on the downgrade , instead of hiding, making things seem more sinister
