Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Tricky card
Race 1 ??
Race 2: Go the Distance my choice of those that have run but respect first timers
Race 3: Harvest Wind has put up a fair grass gallop, but will come on from this run. His full sister won last week over 1200m, however Brett feels that this colt will be better once he goes round the turn. The three form runners Sea Fury, Selailai and Silent Choice all look decent, so I do not expect too much from him today.
Race 4: Competitive Maiden where the M Robinson coupling looks strong but wide draws to overcome. Ladysmith steps up in trip and could shed her bridesmaid tag. A few others with chances. Bikini Model disappointed last time from a nice draw, and has to jump from wide this time. She is usually thereabouts but may have to go to a weaker centre to win.
Race 5: Competitive handicap where most of the field are capable of winning. Romantic Crusade not the best of draws, but is consistent and should be in the money. Hopeful is well in at the weights even without the claim, and from a good draw is good ew value @ 7/1
Race 6: One seldom finds a banker in a F&M handicap, but Marion Belle won much easier than the 1length margin suggests, and with expected further improvement looks the part. If she fails then it’s wide open.
Race 7: The lightly raced improvers Pacific Trader, Ready Steady Go and Royal Sensation are the short list in a nice race. Bigger perms add Pata Pata and Prince Oracy.
Race 8: A tough one to end the day. No selection.
