"Group" RESULTS - 'Evening Session' Thursday 3 July Workings.

Evening,

This evening completed and went as follows..

The 1st runner we wanted 2.6 and with being 2.52 on arrival and shortening, we had a lay at 2.52 max. The lay went and won, so the way it goes.........

The 2nd runner we wanted 3.5 and with being around 3.2 on arrival, we had a lay at 3.2. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.8 and above, before coming back down again, so a fluctuating market and a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was beaten after a 3-way battle for the line, so a good result....

The 3rd runner we wanted 3.1 and with being around 2.8 on arrival and shortening, we had a lay at 2.8 max. The price then went for a walk and out to our own price of 3.4 and beyond, so another chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was beaten and so a good result.....

The 4th runner we wanted 1.66 and with drifting to around 1.68 on arrival and then dropping back down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 1.66 max. The lay went and won, so the way it goes.....

The 5th runner we wanted 3.5, but with a delay to the last race, this race was over by the time we got here and so on to the next runner.......

The 6th runner we wanted 2.8, but a non runner and 4.5% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.72. The price was around 2.6 on arrival and shortening, so we had a lay at 2.6 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result.........

The 7th runner we wanted 3.5 and with being around 3.2 and slightly shorter on arrival, we had a lay at 3.2 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result....

The 8th runner we wanted 2.7 and with being around 2.12 on arrival, we had a lay at 2.12. The lay went and won and so the gamble landed and the way it goes......

The 9th runner we wanted 2.6 and with being around 2.8 on arrival and only getting bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage at all, so a race to avoid for all. The runner came in 2nd after a battling finish, so 'one that got away in hindsight'........

The 10th runner we wanted 2.0, but a non runner and 3.1% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 1.97. The price was around 1.8 on arrival and getting slightly shorter, so we had a lay at 1.8 max. The lay went and won, so another favourite goes in and the way it goes. Traders did get their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.....

The 11th runner we wanted 2.0 and with drifting to around 2.04 on arrival and then dropping back down to us, we had a lay at 2.0. The lay was nicely beaten and so a good result....

The 12th and final runner we wanted 2.32 and with being that and slightly shorter on arrival, we had a lay at 2.32 max. The race is around 15 minutes away, so with all strategy play completed and only a tiny bit of trading left on offer, I'm leaving it there and chilling out for a bit. Good luck traders with this last runner...

WELL PLAYED/BATTLED................(2 from the first 4 (50%) went and won - 3 from the first 7 (43%) went and won - 4 from the first 9 (44.5%) went and won - So another tricky session with winners popping up at the wrong times, but we dug in deep and pulled out levels, so no harm done)

'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Finished level.........They started on the 1st runner and after a bit of a battle they drew level after their 5th and final lay (the 6th runner)...........They then started their 2nd strategy/target on the 7th runner and with breaking level on their 4th lay (the 11th runner) they ended it there with now just one potential lay left and no room at all for any error. So they finish levels on the evening.......

'Bank builder' strategy/target players had their 1st lay ( the 1st runner) at 2.52 max and a poor result see them behind early.........They then had a 'free' lay (the 2nd runner) that bought a tiny profit..........Then another 'free' lay (the 3rd runner) that bought a tiny profit.........Then came their 2nd lay (the 4th runner) at 1.66, but a poor result see them give a bit more away........Then came their 3rd lay (the 6th runner) at 2.6 max and a good result see then win a nice chunk back...........Then came their 4th lay (the 7th runner) at 3.2 and a good result see them break level..........and that's where they finished....

Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100

1st lay £100 to win as much of the £100 target @ 2.52 max. Result negative. Lose £100

Total bank now £300

'Free' lay bought average/minimum profit £10

Total bank now £310

'Free' lay bought average/minimum profit £9

Total bank now £319

2nd lay £106 to recoup the £81 @ 1.66 max. Result negative. Lose £53

Total bank now £266

3rd lay £133 to recoup as much of the £134 @ 2.6 max. Result positive. Win £83

Total bank now £349

4th lay £349 to recoup the £51 @ 3.2. Result positive. Win £51

Total bank now £400

Overall result. Level.

***************************************

Bank builder 5 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100

1st lay £80 to win as much of the £100 target @ 2.52 max. Result negative. Lose £80

Total bank now £320

'Free' lay bought average/minimum profit £8

Total bank now £328

'Free' lay bought average/minimum profit £7

Total bank now £335

2nd lay £83 to recoup the £65 @ 1.66 max. Result negative. Lose £43

Total bank now £292

3rd lay £97 to recoup as much of the £108 @ 2.6 max. Result positive. Win £60

Total bank now £352

4th lay £176 to recoup the £48 @ 3.2. Result positive. Win £48

Total bank now £400

So with being level and only one potential lay left and no room for error, they end it here.

Overall result. Level.

'Traders' had to concede a little on the 1st runner at 2.52 max, the 4th runner at 1.66 max, 8th runner at 2.12, and although all others so far have seen them win a bit or break level, they still give a bit back this session and so will look to tomorrow to put it right...

So builders walk away level after another poor start to a session and they'll be pleased to walk away with the amount they set out with this morning. Rollers had a battle early to break level and. Speak in the morning guys...

Afternoon,

Just before we begin, let me just recap last evening's results as I seemed to have had a problem getting the results mails out and haven't got them now, so anybody who's missing them I apologise, but all out of my control unfortunately. Anyhow, it was a draw for strategists after a poor start, so they clawed back very well and traders gained a small win, so they did even better. Out to this evening's workings....

This evening's workings as follows..

5.50 Newbury. CONSTANT CHEERS (2.52)

Our price 19/10 (2.9) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 2.6 or under. *Traders be aware, that although lightly raced, he has shown he can race prominently - Also please note that more emphasis has had to go on the early markets for clues*

6.20 Newbury. EVELYN MAY (3.45)

Our price 14/5 (3.8) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.5 or under. *Please note that more emphasis has had to go on the early markets for clues concerning this race*

6.30 Warwick. THE KYLLACHY KID (3.05)

Our price 12/5 (3.4) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.1 or under. *Please note that more emphasis has had to go on the early markets for clues concerning this race*

6.40 Redcar. RIEVAULX WORLD (1.75)

Our price 10/11 (1.9) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.66 or under we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware, that although lightly raced, he has shown good speed and so no surprise to see a very prominent display this evening - Also please note that a 'little' more emphasis has had to go on the early markets for clues concerning this race*

6.50 Newbury. FIRST AVENUE (3.4)

Our price 14/5 (3.8) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 2.5 or under.

7.25 Newbury. SAUCY BROWN (2.9)

Our price 21/10 (3.1) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.8 or under we'll go in for a lay. *Please note that a 'bit' more emphasis has had to go on the early markets for clues concerning this race*

7.45 Redcar. INSPECTOR CLOUSEAU (3.2)

Our price 14/5 (3.8) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.5 or under. *Traders be aware that he likes to lead, or race very prominently in his races*

7.55 Newbury. ATLANTIC SPORT (2.34)

Our price 2/1 (3.0) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 2.7 or under.

8.40 Warwick. WIND STAR (2.76)

Our price 19/10 (2.9) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.6 or under we'll go in for a lay.

Our price 13/10 (2.3) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 2.0 or under. *Traders be aware that he likes to lead, or race very prominently in his races*

9.00 Newbury. DANCER IN DEMAND (2.2)

Our price 13/10 (2.3) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.0 or under we'll go in for a lay. *Please note that more emphasis has had to go on the early market for clues concerning this race*

9.20 Redcar. SCEILIN (2.2)

Our price 13/8 (2.625) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 2.32 or under. *Traders be aware that she has a tendency to race prominently in her races*

All the races have been priced up with non runners taken into account, up until 16.53pm.

That's our work for this evening then. Never easy and never will be, but we do have enough about us to warrant going in, so with discipline to the maximum and taking advantage of any prices that come our way, that's what we'll do. Good luck and speak soon.
