Say what you want about the cripples and dodgy results... Least they have full fields with reserves

They had two meetings in September. If you had two meetings a month in any centre including the Cape, you would get full fields.

Poor owners.

Race 1

Jarett Rugg
No 2 L'Orfeo - Will need the run
Phillip Smith
No 9 Ritzy Rock - Will need the run
Stephanie Miller
No 11 Captain's Wish - Working well and expecting a good run
Tobie Spies
No 10 Sweet Emotion - Has a small place chance
Dennis Cason
No 14 Pegalea is starting to get her act together and I am hoping for
a better run.

Race 2

Coerie Lensley
No 9 Azernack - Will need the run

Race 3

Stephanie Miller
No 4 King Of The Rally - Will need the run
Jannie Borman
No 9 Main Player - Nice horse, may need the run and further but is working well.

Race 4

Jarett Rugg
No 7 Irish Vagabond - Will need the run
Jannie Borman
No 8 Catchthe master - Is a nice horse. Has been recently gelded and is
showing some good work.
No 14 Royal Stag - Improving but drawn a bit wide. Should be in the first 4

Race 5

Dennis Cason
No 4 Brookie may have just found the 2200m a bit far last time and
will be better suited to this distance. I am expecting him to go close

Race 6

Tobie Spies
No 11 Raving Rocket - Battling to regain best form
Jannie Borman
No 2 Wind Belle - Having her first run for the stable and has a very wide
draw to overcome. Hoping for a nice run.
Dennis Cason
No 4 American Trilogy is doing better and I am expecting a better run
No 10 Olivia S did not like the Blinkers last time so I am taking them
off and i am expecting a much better run from her

Race 7

Tobie Spies
No 8 Andalusian - Tough task from a wide draw

Race 8

Tobie Spies
No 6 All About The Bass - Likes this course and distance. In with a chance.
Dennis Cason
Although it is a competitive looking race both my runners No 9 Modjaji
and No 10 Sweet Pleasures can get involved with the finish. With the
4kg off her back Sweet Pleasures carries just 47kgf and she is my
preference.

Race 9

Tobie Spies
No 4 Class Protector - All three of her wins are over the course and
distance but
i have a slight preference for the stablemate
No 1 Laurent Du Var - Won his last race here. In with a chance again.
Jarett Rugg
No 2 Arctic Blast - Will need the run
Michael Mahiakola
No 3 News Flash - Working well
Tienie Prinsloo
No 7 Gone Not Forgotten - Will need the run
Cliffie Miller
No 11 Iron Dragon - Will need the run

Good day to all,

Seems like there is no interest in this meeting today. I am glad to see the full fields with lots of reserve runners. This place needs more meetings a year as it is the only sand track left in the land and gives horse a second chance if the do not make it in the bigger centers.

The card looks very tricky, but here are my fancies for today at decent value:

Race 1: I will not stick my neck out for one horse as it looks like a very tricky race to open proceedings. My top 4 is: Secret Island (7/2) , Pumankey (8/1) , Sweet Emotion (36/1) and Barbara (9/2).

Race 2: Again another tricky fillies and mares race. My top 4 is: Polly Again (5/1) , Dance In The Woods (27/4) , Easy Peasy (113/20) and Whispering Light (27/4).

Race 3: Koncealed (113/20) and Yelloclover (9/2) to fight out the finish. I can not believe the value of Winter Trade (20/1) in this race, he must be a definite inclusion in everything.

Race 4: Wine Dark Sea (113/20) to beat home That's All (5/1), if Fransie Herholdt gets a few lenghts skip at the top of the straight he will be hard to catch over this distance.

Race 5: My top 5 for this race is: Happy Pills (27/4), Pure Logic (57/20), Brookie (41/10), Netherby Hall (41/10) and Selvan's Jet (71/20), with the latter being my pick in this race. A drop down to the 1800m will suite him better than the 2200m he ran last time.

Race 6: Charter Jet (9/2) to beat home Wings N Things (78/10) who buy the way has very nice value about her. Watch out for Come As You Are at 13/1.

Race 7: Lake Washington (16/1), Phil's Power (8/1) and Timeofthevikings (18/1) and Secret Delight (16/1) to fight it out with the first being my pick at 16/1.

Race 8: The race of the day without a doubt. I make this a two horse race between Roquebrune (57/20) and Rock A Bye Baby (27/4). I am going to go with Rock A Bye Baby to beat Roquebrune, purely because a 1000m at Flamingo Park is her best distance. Watch out for Sweet Pleasures (9/2) and Modjadji (5/1).

Race 9: A very tricky race to end proceedings for the day. Laurent Du Var (4/1), On Your Life (113/20), Tune The Scope (13/1), Just Africa (13/1) and Green Boegatti (14/1) should fight out the finish. On Your Life is my top pick for this race.

Enjoy the day.

The card today is a minefield. The betting endorses this.
Without the input of Zietsman, the erratic form of the horses and the big fields, its imho a lottery.
Thanks for your input The Beast and the other clanners.

Most already had enough of Randall Simons at Greyville yesterday and we have him again at Flamingo today.
Nearly got there on Easy Peasy but a miss is as good as a mile.
Now that I've had a go at him he'll probably win 3.
