"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon Session' Thursday 17 July Workings.

Afternoon.

This afternoon completed, and went as follows:

The 1st runner we wanted 2.32, and with being around 2.62 on arrival and only getting bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage, so a race to avoid for all. The runner was beaten and so the drift more than justified and 'one that got away in hindsight'........

The 2nd runner we wanted 2.8 and with being around 3.65 on arrival and only getting bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage at all, so all had to avoid another race. The runner went and won, so a nice priced winner, but more importantly a good leave.......

The 3rd runner we wanted 2.1, but a non runner and 18% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 1.9. The price was around 2.2 on arrival and only got bigger and bigger, so with not seeing our lay price at any stage, it was yet another race to avoid for all. The runner was beaten and so the drift justified and 'one that got away in hindsight'........

The 4th runner we wanted 2.32, but a non runner and 13.8% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.14. The price was around 2.44 on arrival and then dropped down to us and beyond under good support, so we had a lay at 2.14 max. The lay was beaten, so gamble foiled and a good result......

The 5th runner we wanted 3.2 and with being around 4.4 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage, we all had to avoid the race. The runner looked the winner, but lost out after a battle, so heart attack saved, but 'one that got away in hindsight'...........

The 6th runner we wanted 2.0 and with being around 2.16 on arrival and only getting bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage, so a race to avoid for all. The runner was beaten and so another drifter justified today and another 'one that gets away in hindsight'.........

The 7th runner we wanted 2.5 and with being a well supported 2.0, and shortening on arrival, we had a lay at 2.0 max. The lay had to work hard to win a battle, but gamble landed and the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.......

The 8th runner we wanted 2.7 and with drifting to around 3.2 on arrival and not coming back down to us, race to racers had to avoid the race. The runner looked the sure winner, but was nailed on the line after a very close photo, so the drift beat race to race players to the punch. Grr! Early traders happy though........

The 9th runner we wanted 2.4, but a non runner and 3.6% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.35 (2.36 nearest exchange price). The price was around 2.46 on arrival and then dropped down to us and beyond, so we had a lay at 2.36 max. The lay went and won a battle, so the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.......

The 10th runner we wanted 2.1 and with being a well supported 1.76 and shortening on arrival, we had a lay at 1.76 max. The lay won easily and so made layers look idiots, but the way it goes and gamble landed. Traders did get their trade back prices just after the off with the early drift, so they got away with it...

The 11th runner we wanted 2.32 and with being around 2.24 on arrival and slightly shorter, we had a lay at 2.24 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result........

WELL PLAYED/BATTLED................(4 from the first 10 (40%) went and won, so tricky enough, but it was those drifters that made it tough and although we battled well, we had to walk away with a draw at worst)

'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) finished Level...........They started their 1st strategy/target on the 4th runner, but after a good start, they then opposed a few winners before breaking level on their 5th and final lay 9the 11th runner), and so they end levels.

'Bank building' strategy/target players had their 1st lay (the 4th runner) at 2.14 max and a good result see them win a nice chunk of their targets..........Then came their 2nd lay (the 7th runner) at 2.0 max, but a poor result see them give a little back..........They then had their 3rd lay (the 9th runner) at 2.36 max, but a poor result see them give a bit more back.........Then came their 4th lay (the 10th runner) at 1.76, but another poor result see them give a bit more away and 4 runner builders end the session Level...

5 runner builders needed a bit more and played on, so they had their 5th lay (the 11th runner) at 2.24 max and a good result see them break level.......

All the races were priced up, with non runners taken into account, up until 10.02am.

That's our work for this afternoon then. A difference in make ups throughout the session and looking quite testing and tricky, and we do need plenty of fluctuation within the markets to determine any bets with the markets looking screwed tightly this morning. However, we do have enough about us to warrant going into battle, so with discipline to the maximum and taking advantage of any prices that come our way, that's what we'll do. Good luck and speak soon with this evening's workings.
