....he rode up here in the early 80"s after doing a stint in USA(so he says) ....rode a horse for a mate of mine in Bloem 1984.....and I spent a weekend with him at the time.....talked the talk but could not match it in the saddle.....:dry:...cocked the ride on the good thing ....and then went on and won with the no hoper travelling companion at 50/1.....:oops:

....sadly he was not that clever.....never seen a jock so shocked in the winners box.....I had cover round the so called good thing but the 50/1 was a real shock.....if anything was on that day then it was the other 11 clever jocks.....:S
